Con spirito d'iniziativa.. ho voluto installare Xine sulla mia red hat 8.0 nuova di zecca!!!!

ho scaricato il file xine-lib-0.9.12.tar.gz

scompatto, configuro e installo.

poi scarico gnome-xine-0.1.tar.gz

scompatto, configuro e questo è l'errore che mi compare

configure: error: Could not find the gnomeConf.sh file that is generated by gnome-libs install

Sono bloccato: idee???

Come posso tornare indietro e disinstallare le librerie di xine per aggiornarle???

ho risolto il problema sopra: mancava i tool di sviluppo per gnome

Ora il problema è che non trova le librerie gnome

qualcuno può postarmi il link per le librerie di gnome x xine (versione 0.9.9..)

Le altre librerie le posso disinstallare???? E come??

ma non puoi usare i binari in rpm visto che come dici sei un newbie?

xine-lib secondo te sono le librerie di gnome? ;)

sono un newbie... ho fatto 1 +1 = 2
mi sa che invece ho cannato qualcosa.. ma allora che cos'e Xine-lib???

Gli Rpm per xine non ci sono (almeno stando a quanto dicono sul sito ufficiale)

vai QUI (http://www.rpmfind.net/linux/rpm2html/search.php?query=xine-lib) e scarica la versione di xine-lib che ti serve, poi riprova :)
