Ciao,
ho due hard disk separati con linux e windows e fast boot disattivato.
Se uso un' antenna wlan wifi o il thetering del cellulare, questi non funzionano se riavvio il pc con un l' altro sistema operativo. Come è possibile? Potrebbe essere un problema della scheda madre? Grazie

Ma che vuol dire che non funzionano? Spiega meglio il problema e scrivi il modello del dongle usb-wifi che utilizzi. Il problema che da su windows ed il problema che invece da su linux. E quali sono gli apparecchi di rete a cui vuoi connetterti coi relativi modelli ed eventuali configurazioni.

Ho un pc fisso a cui ho collegato una" WIFI WLAN Stick Adattatore USB 150 Mbit 2dbi wireless drahtlosdongle" (ID HARDWARE PCI\VEN_10EC&DEV_8168&SUBSYS_81681849&REV_11) per andare in internet con l' hot spot dei cellulari di famiglia (tutti xiaomi)
Momento del Problema: sono su windows con wlan attiva o thetering usb attivato e decido di riavviare il pc per avviare kubuntu

Via tethering USB può capitare che abbia problemi se tenuto connesso al cavo, di solito si risolve sul cellulare disattivando e riattivando la modalità tethering usb. Invece con hotspot wifi deve funzionare sempre, eventualmente controlla sul cellulare il tempo di timeout che hai impostato prima che si disattivi in automatico l'hotspot quando non ha più nessun dispositivo associato. Xiaomi ce l'hanno quasi tutte le persone che conosco e lo usano come hotspot per tutto un po' (mac, windows, linux) senza problemi. Sarà difettoso il dongle usb...

Via tethering USB può capitare che abbia problemi se tenuto connesso al cavo, di solito si risolve sul cellulare disattivando e riattivando la modalità tethering usb. Invece con hotspot wifi deve funzionare sempre, eventualmente controlla sul cellulare il tempo di timeout che hai impostato prima che si disattivi in automatico l'hotspot quando non ha più nessun dispositivo associato. Xiaomi ce l'hanno quasi tutte le persone che conosco e lo usano come hotspot per tutto un po' (mac, windows, linux) senza problemi. Sarà difettoso il dongle usb...

scusa, era USB\VID_148F&PID_7601&REV_0000 comunque strano non funzioni... aveva lo stesso problema con la prima che ho comprato e l' ho fatta sostituire. Tutte le recensioni erano positive... uffa

Purtroppo dovrei lanciare lsusb da linux ma ho appena staccato l' ssd per far funzionare l'antenna.
La gestione dispositivi di window mi da l' ID HARDWARE scritto in quel modo.e sia sull' antenna che sull' ordine manca proprio quel dato.
Vi chiedo questa cosa perchè mi è successo lo stesso anche facendo un' immagine di sistema: non ho potuto fare un' immagine di windows fino a quando non ho staccato l' ssd di linux. E ho scoperto che non sono l' unico ad aver avuto questo problema

E che succede se fai il contrario, cioè parti da Linux e poi riavvii in Windows?
Lo chiedo perchè il comportamento che hai descritto è un tipico reset bug. Cioè la periferica non si resetta. Questo può essere perchè ha un bug il firmware della periferica o perchè il bug ce l'ha l'UEFI della tua scheda madre.
In ogni caso, quando Linux cerca di "bootare" la periferica, la trova già inizializzata e lascia perdere.
E' un bug che per esempio era ( non so se l'hanno risolto ) presente sulle GPU AMD, che non si resettavano quando le usavi per il GPU passthrough con le virtual machine. Il risultato era che non potevi chiudere una VM e accenderne un'altra, perchè la GPU non funzionava più.

In primis, grazie per la riposta: non trovavo nulla in internet e iniziavo a sentirmi un po' idiota.
Mi capita sempre sia partendo con linux che torandoci da windows. Non mi pare che il problema sussista quando stacco fisicamente uno dei due ssd.

ti metto sotto l' elenco hw. Quindi dici che dovrei aggiornare il bios?

in sostanza spengo il pc; stacco fisicamente l'ssd e ci connetto l'altro. Ho provato ad aggiornare anche il driver della periferica ma mi dice che il driver di windows è il più aggiornato. Inoltre, a volte, il pc fa dei riavvi strani quelle rarissime volte che la periferica sembra avere problema. Quello che non capisco è che su 100 recensioni, erano tutte positive (anche per linux). Pensando che fosse difettata ne ho ordinata un' altra ma idem....

Xkè sennò che accade? L'immagine la facevi tramite boot usb di qualche chiavetta con sù cosa?
Ancora non ho capito se il PC funziona senza quel dongle wireless. Se la togli funziona tutto (reboot, backup, ... )? È inserendola che non funziona più qualcosa (apparte l'ipotesi di essa stessa x via dei problemi wifi)?

Capito... ho provato a far partire un hard disk con window 7, facendo il riavvio da window 10 e mi ha trovato correttamente la periferica. Funzionava.
ho fatto una controprova con un vecchio hd con un' altra distro di linux e mi da il problema
Bho, magari proverò ad aggiornare il bios se ha un versione superiore...

Allora ragazzi,
ho fatto un po' di test ed è emerso che:
Il problema si verifica con tutte le porte e con tutte le periferiche. Consiste in rinvii e/o malfunzionamente diversi per so.
Ho notato che:
in linux: tutto funziona fino a quando non passo a windows. Quando torno su linux la periferica in questione (es dongle wifi) non funziona.
Su windows: tutto è funzionante ma quando ritorno da linux alcune periferiche possono dare problemi (es: mouse che va a scatti, dongle non funzionante, riavvii della macchina).

Rifai gli stessi test ma stavolta con la differenza che invece di riavviare dovrai spegnege e riaccendere.
Ipotesi: i segnali hardware di reset dalla mainboard non si propagano correttamente agli integrati quando sovviene un riavvio; invece partendo da spento si spera che vengano generati e tutto funzioni.

I problemi riscontrabili sulle periferiche, in particolare le USB, si manifestano sia con Windows 10 sia con Linux, sia con partenza a freddo che a caldo, sia passando con un riavvio da un sistema operativo all'altro.
Sulla base di quest'altra discussione, che potrebbe far luce sulla questione, https://www.hwupgrade.it/forum/showthread.php?t=2953834 mi pare di capire che hai sostituito già la mainboard con una identica in passato. Ti rifaccio qui la domanda: sostituendola nell'immediato hai risolto i problemi o sono rimasti? C'è stato un periodo abbastanza lungo in cui tutto funzionava dopo il cambio?
Prova se la RAM passa il test di memtest. Il resto è tutto integrato nella cpu, quindi sembra sempre più probabile un guasto alla mainboard o come detto prima problemi al bios o al design elettronico.
Hai hub usb puppacorrente e vari attaccati alle usb?
Un cambio mainboard attualmente ti và a costare sui 60€ (una Biostar nuova) e se ti basta per quelche ci fai li puoi anche spendere, se fosse quella. Il resto è l'alimentatore, i problemi alle USB sono spesso riconducibili a problemi alla +5Vsb generata dall'alimentatore, hai già provato a sostituirlo per fare una prova?
P.S.: cmq windows 10 enterprise non si può proprio vedere :rolleyes: se decidi di cambiare mainboard quando riformatterai prenditi una licenza originale, anche quelle su ebay da due lire...

L' alimentatore è un Corsar CX500M. No quello non ho mai provato a testarlo
Esattamente, il riepilogo è corretto. Tranne che: la mainboard precedente non mi aveva mai dato questi problemi: solamente ha smesso di funzionare improvvisamente. Anche quest' ultima mainboard non mi aveva dato altri problemi. Questa cosa ha iniziato diversi mesi fa con un' antenna wlan da pochi dollari che ha funzionato a lungo ma poi ho sostituito perchè pensavo fosse la causa del malfunzionamento
Ho fatto un paio di volte il RAM test e non mi ha dato nessun errore.
No, non ho altre "prese multiple"/"prolunghe" o periferiche strane (es: periferica per scaldare il caffe) . Solo mouse,stampante, webcam, e tastiera.
Certo, farò come dici!
Come mai una biostar? Dici sia il caso che aspetti per via dello shortage oppure il prezzo diventa sempre piu' alto perchè sono pezzi sempre piu' rari... volendo potrei aspettare un po'

Non c'è più niente in produzione per la piattaforma FM2+ da anni. A livello di guasti con Biostar io mi sono sempre trovato bene, rispetto ad esempio con alcune serie ASRock molto sfortunate e fatte alla meno. Storicamente restano disponibili per più tempo rispetto ai marchi più importanti. Non montano le ultime tecnologie ma da quelche ho potuto vedere negli anni sono dei muletti.
In ogni caso c'è un solo modello disponibile nel nuovo "Biostar A68MHE" (56 euro spedito) e costa meno rispetto ad altre mainboard usate. Lo shortage non penso che tocchi così tanto questa roba così vecchia, probabilmente sarà un lotto prodotto che andrà ad esaurirsi e quindi a sparire del tutto.
Dici sia il caso che aspetti per via dello shortage oppure il prezzo diventa sempre piu' alto perchè sono pezzi sempre piu' rari... volendo potrei aspettare un po'
Fatti prestare un alimentatore o testa con un multimetro la +5Vsb sul grosso connettore ATX (filo viola). Se aspetti tanto vale aspettare per farsi una piattaforma completamente nuova.

Altrimenti pensavo anche ad una asus A88X-PLUS che ho visto su alì express per lo stessa cifra. Ho visto che aveva 4 slot ram... mi dico... aumento la ram, il processore lo overclocco un pochino che tanto mi arriva al massimo al 60% adesso. Poi mi metto su una vecchia scheda video così tolgo la memoria condivisa, magari un ssd collegato direttamente col pci e tiro avanti altri 5-10 anni ::D

Su aliexpress le vedo ma usate, eppoi chissà quando ti arriverà col blocco portuale e le quarantene che devono fare le navi e l'aviazione. Se proprio vuoi fare il cambio di mainboard, prendi quella lì nuova, su bpm.

Ho sostituito la MB. Il problema e' ridimensionato ma non risolto. mi spiego meglio con una cronologia dei fatti.
1Su linux funziona tutto alla perfezione.
2 Riavvio il pc che di default boota windows: la periferica wi-fi non funziona e sono costretto a resettare la configurazione di rete
3. Dopo un po' apro il pc e mi trovo la schermata del bios fisso (come accadeva alle volte anche con la vecchia MB)
4. Resetto diverse volte ma il probema persiste.
5 Stacco l' antenna wifi dalle prese usb del case, e riavvio ma la schermata fissa del bios non scompare.
6. Stacco allora anche una chiavetta usb collegata sempre alla presa del case e il pc si sblocca andando su windows (come di default)
7. Allora rifaccio tutto il percorso: Riallaccio antenna wifi e chiavetta usb con entrambi e riavvio. Lo faccio anche con ciascuna periferica da sola ma il problema NON si ripresenta. (rimane comunque il problema di accesso alla rete wifi su windows)
6.Torno su linux e tutto funziona.
Insomma i problemi non appaiono sistematici ai vari test che faccio ma sembrano saltuari.

Ho sostituito la MB.
Stesso modello di quella vecchia? Perchè mi pare un problema di BIOS buggato a quanto scrivi.

Sì, gli stessi problemi di quella vecchia. Non appaiono sempre e con la nuova sembrano un po' più "attenuati"

Sì, è già disabilitato.
Se non ci sono altre soluzioni cercherò di testare il trasformatore quando potro'.
Ad ogni modo la situazione è notevolmente migliorata: non ho riavvii da errore ( a parte il bios bloccato una volta). Linux ha quasi sempre la periferica che funziona e intanto su windows vado di thetering usb.
Vi ringrazio intanto per l' aiuto fin d' ora prestatomi

Ciao ragazzi,
vi aggiorno sulla situazione. Con la scheda madre nuova, gentilmente suggeritami, il problema sembra risolto. A volte c'è ancora qualche avvio strano ma potreBBE essere imputato al thetering coni il cellulare.
C'è pero' un'altra cosa strana.
A volte il computer non si avvia. Mi spiego meglio: quando schiaccio il pulsante di accensione, la ventola gira per mezzo secondo e poi si ferma tutto.
Ho provato ad staccare e riattacare i cavi (anche all'interno del case) ma il problema non è stato risolto.
Secondo voi potrebbe essere dovuto al difetto dell' alimentazione dell' usb come detto in precendenza?
A questo punto sostituisco anche l'alimentatore? Potrebbe danneggiarmi il pc?
