L'amministrazione USA espande il numero di aziende cinesi sottoposte a blacklist includendo SMIC, produttore di semiconduttori in parte di proprietà del governo cinese

SMIC è entrata in questi giorni nel processo produttivo a 7 nanometri con una produzione di test.

At an interactive platform recently, the Shanghai-based Semiconductor Manufacturing International Corp (SMIC) hinted that it has started small-scale trial production of its second-generation N+1 FinFET process.

Regarding the N+1 process, SMIC CEO Liang Mengsong revealed earlier this year that the process is very similar to the 7nm process in terms of power and stability, and does not require EUV lithography. The new N+1 process nodes are being called 8nm or an early stage 7nm process. The process is geared towards low-power applications. Compared to the 14nm process, SMIC’s N+1 process has a 20% increase in performance and a 57% reduction in power consumption, while the 7nm market benchmark performance increase should be 35%.

Da notare che con i 7nm di SMIC Huawei potrebbe fare sia i soliti Kirin 710 già prodotti in grande scala da SMIC per Huawei e i suoi smartphone, ma anche il Kirin 9000 degli attuali top di gamma e/o i SOC intermedi. Anche se il 9000 è prodotto con tecnologia TMSC a 5 nm, con quella SMIC a 7 nm potrebbe adattarsi alla gamma alta degli smartphone Huawei.

Normale la tecnologia USA usata è meno del 20% nelle macchine litografiche, quindi non possono imporre la nulla, solo sul suolo americano, quindi le macchine litografiche arrivano a destinazione e SMIC potrà stare al passo e anche le società CINESI

Sandro kensan, rimane il fatto che le macchine gli sono state mandate, non tutte, e una volta che ciuffo va via, senza pressioni le macchine gli arrivano, poi adesso l'uropa sembra si sia svegliata per microprocessori in loco e litografia, vuoi che sia la volta buona per una svolta EUROPEA!!!! ^^
