Salve a tutti!
Ho un problema con la mia linea ADSL e credo che, forse, qui qualcuno possa darmi qualche delucidazione.
Ho un'ADSL Tim, contratto da 20 Mb con offerta SMART, abito a 3 km circa dalla centrale quindi la banda massima è sempre stata ballerina, tra i 4 e gli 8 Mb, qualche pacchetto perso, ma nulla di grave. Inoltre non ho mai avuto grossi problemi di ping (gioco a FPS come Overwatch, Apex, etc), infatti il ping in game si aggirava tra i 50 e i 70 ms (alti ma meglio dei 100 attuali fissi).
Un anno fa avevo attivato anche Internet Play per provare ad abbassare il ping ma senza risultati, ho quindi disattivato recentemente.
In seguito ad un'interruzione di linea i tecnici SIRTI sono intervenuti (con 2 mesi di ritardo ma vabbè) e hanno ripristinato il tutto (una vecchia giuntura aveva preso umidità e l'hanno ri-nastrata...ora ho il filo fino alla cabina con ben 3 o 4 giunture :muro: )
Ricollegandomi ho notato che la connessione è modulata in ADSL2 e non più ADSL2+ (comprendo la differenza e che in base alla qualità della linea l'operatore scelga la modulazione più adatta per garantire un minimo di servizio, ma ho sempre utilizzato l'ADSL2+) e quando provo, tramite il mio router ASUS DSL-N12E aggiornato all'ultimo fw che non mi ha mai dato problemi, ad impostare manualmente la modulazione ad ADSL2+ la linea muore, non si allinea, mentre se impostata su ADSL2 i valori sono i seguenti:

Oltre a non poter modificare la modulazione ad ADSL2+ non riesco nemmeno ad intervenire sulla regolazione di stabilità, che prima utilizzavo per modificare la banda della linea abbassanndola per renderla più stabile e di conseguenza ridurre la perdita di pacchetti e il ping, ora pur settanndola su valori negativi o positivi (solitamente utilizzavo -4 db per avere 3,5/4 Mb in down, 0,3 in up e 50/70 ms di ping) non succede nulla.

Nell'immagine è selezionato ADSL2 ma anche lasciando su Auto Sync sia allinea in ADSL2 a 4 Mb.
Ho provato ad utilizzare lo Smart Modem di Tim, quello bianco con angoli smussati e forellini sulla parte superiore che ho pagato ben 240 € per avere 10 € di sconto in bolletta (pagavo ben 55 €, ora 45 €), ma senza ottenere risultati differenti, infatti si allinea in ADSL2 e i valori sono sempre gli stessi.
Ho contattato la Tim ma ho trovato un operatore non proprio ferrato e quindi ha aperto segnalazione. Mi chiedo se qualcuno sa cosa stia accadendo e se c'è un modo per sistemare il tutto e tornare ad avere 50 ms di ping, che è la mia priorità assoluta.
Prima di commentare cambia operatore, cosa che farei più che volentieri, sappiate che qui da me Tim ha il monopolio.

Ho un problema con la mia linea ADSL e credo che, forse, qui qualcuno possa darmi qualche delucidazione.
Ho un'ADSL Tim, contratto da 20 Mb con offerta SMART, abito a 3 km circa dalla centrale quindi la banda massima è sempre stata ballerina, tra i 4 e gli 8 Mb, qualche pacchetto perso, ma nulla di grave. Inoltre non ho mai avuto grossi problemi di ping (gioco a FPS come Overwatch, Apex, etc), infatti il ping in game si aggirava tra i 50 e i 70 ms (alti ma meglio dei 100 attuali fissi).
Un anno fa avevo attivato anche Internet Play per provare ad abbassare il ping ma senza risultati, ho quindi disattivato recentemente.
In seguito ad un'interruzione di linea i tecnici SIRTI sono intervenuti (con 2 mesi di ritardo ma vabbè) e hanno ripristinato il tutto (una vecchia giuntura aveva preso umidità e l'hanno ri-nastrata...ora ho il filo fino alla cabina con ben 3 o 4 giunture :muro: )
Ricollegandomi ho notato che la connessione è modulata in ADSL2 e non più ADSL2+ (comprendo la differenza e che in base alla qualità della linea l'operatore scelga la modulazione più adatta per garantire un minimo di servizio, ma ho sempre utilizzato l'ADSL2+) e quando provo, tramite il mio router ASUS DSL-N12E aggiornato all'ultimo fw che non mi ha mai dato problemi, ad impostare manualmente la modulazione ad ADSL2+ la linea muore, non si allinea, mentre se impostata su ADSL2 i valori sono i seguenti:

Oltre a non poter modificare la modulazione ad ADSL2+ non riesco nemmeno ad intervenire sulla regolazione di stabilità, che prima utilizzavo per modificare la banda della linea abbassanndola per renderla più stabile e di conseguenza ridurre la perdita di pacchetti e il ping, ora pur settanndola su valori negativi o positivi (solitamente utilizzavo -4 db per avere 3,5/4 Mb in down, 0,3 in up e 50/70 ms di ping) non succede nulla.

Nell'immagine è selezionato ADSL2 ma anche lasciando su Auto Sync sia allinea in ADSL2 a 4 Mb.
Ho provato ad utilizzare lo Smart Modem di Tim, quello bianco con angoli smussati e forellini sulla parte superiore che ho pagato ben 240 € per avere 10 € di sconto in bolletta (pagavo ben 55 €, ora 45 €), ma senza ottenere risultati differenti, infatti si allinea in ADSL2 e i valori sono sempre gli stessi.
Ho contattato la Tim ma ho trovato un operatore non proprio ferrato e quindi ha aperto segnalazione. Mi chiedo se qualcuno sa cosa stia accadendo e se c'è un modo per sistemare il tutto e tornare ad avere 50 ms di ping, che è la mia priorità assoluta.
Prima di commentare cambia operatore, cosa che farei più che volentieri, sappiate che qui da me Tim ha il monopolio.
