Non sono molto esperto, ma mi sembra che l'errore sia relativo all'installazione di un aggiornamento, e non all'installazione di Microsoft Visual C++ 2017.

Disinstalla tutti i visual CC e poi reinstalla tutto.

Niente da fare, tra l'altro molte volte si impallava e spesso dovevo fare il CHKDSK.

Ieri comunque ho deciso di installare Windows 10 e non ho avuto alcun problema, mi pare anche che vada fluido e che non si impalli in modo permanente. Tra l'altro mi è convenuto passare al 10 anche per dei software che ormai sul 7 hanno diversi problemi.
