Problema: Faulty hardware corrupted page

Ciao a tutti, da un paio di giorni ottengo, sul mio vecchio PC, una schermata blu di errore come da titolo. Premetto che circa un anno fa ho auto problemi riguardanti la ram, in particolare quando mettevo il PC in sospensione esso non riusciva a risvegliarsi dandomi spesso errori di sorta, ho fatto un test della ram il cui risultato ha evidenziato parecchi settori danneggiati. La mia ostinazione però è stata tale da non volerla sostituire nonostante l evidenza, ho iniziato quindi ad usare il PC evitando la sospensione ed andata bene appunto fino a questo periodo. Il PC adesso usando chrome perde spesso la memoria di pagina costringendomi a riavviarla con f5 oltre negli ultimi giorni a queste bluescreen.
E' chiaramente la ram dunque la domanda è siccome il PC è datato (configurazione: i3 2100, Asrok H61M-VS, Nvidia GeForce 210) cosa mi consigliereste di fare (a parte cestinarlo) riguardo l'acquisto di un nuovo modulo di RAM?
Sono indeciso su quale e quanta prenderne, in caso in futuro mi facessi un PC nuovo potrei magari usare questa nuova. Oppure se cestinare la mobo vecchia e prenderne un altra base ma che sia compatibile con le nuove ddr4, spendendo per tutto un centinaio di euro (sempre se il vecchio i3 è compatibile).
