Ciao a tutti
Sto cercando il software nel titolo, praticamente un programmino molto in voga qualche anno fa di pochi KB, so che stava in un Floppy Disk da 1.44 MB, e serviva per testare i banchi delle ram su un vecchio computer XT.
Questo programmino lavora in ambiente MS-DOS, però andava bene anche su Apple/Mac, quindi, anche se auto-bootable, non è un vero e proprio Dos...
Qualcuno ha alba di dove poterlo trovare? Sui vari motori di ricerca ti rimandano tutti sul sito della UXD, solo che mi secca comprare la versione per fare delle prove su un pc che vale si e no 30 euro...

Quel programma a cui fai riferimento in oggetto si trova solo a pagamento ma questo lo sai già. Memtest86+ ha anche le versioni per Mac / Linux

To create a MemTest86 bootable USB, CD or floppy in Linux/Mac, it is recommended that you download one of the Linux/Mac pre-compiled MemTest86 images. Advanced users may wish to build from source and optionally make source code changes.

Note: There is no difference in the resulting MemTest86 boot disk created using either the Windows or Linux/Mac images; the difference is merely that the images are packaged in a way that it is more suited for the respective operating system (eg. zip vs tarball).

Create a bootable floppy (v4 only):

1.Download the Linux floppy disk image.
2.UN-tar the package ( memtest86-4.3.7-floppy.tar.gz (http://www.memtest86.com/downloads/memtest86-4.3.7-floppy.tar.gz) ). An image file and a README file will be created in the current directory.
3.Follow instructions in the README to write the floppy disk.

Non credevo che un programmino obsoleto e di così piccola dimensione fosse introvabile freeware...mi pare abbia oltre 15 anni...
Vediamo se in qualche hard disk (o meglio floppy) di qualche buona anima salta fuori il programmino originale...
