Problema a far partire X

Buongiorno,
sto provando ad installare linux su piattaforma ARM.

In console tutto bene, ma non riesco a far partire la grafica.
Questo e' il log di X.

Credo che manchino le sezioni monitor e layout.
Qualcuno sa suggerirmi come procedere?

e passando al kernel: "nomodeset" ?

(non conosco ARM...)

che distro? che VGA? che driver video usi?

Sto installando Debian wheezy sul Samsung GT-I9000... non so che 'scheda video' ho e non ho installato alcun driver. A linea di comando funziona tutto benissimo.
Non e' possibile passare parametri al kernel, perche' non c'e' un vero e proprio boot.
Provero' anche con una strada alternativa, installando il pacchetto andromize-lxde, il quale pero' rimuove il pacchetto xserver-xorg e fa fare il login grafico da un client RDP (locale o remoto).

Dalla linea di comando - per attivare il server devi digitare :
startx
subito dopo l'acesso al linux - per preciso dopo che hai scritto il username e pass - poi startx .
Se sei dentro nel sistema ,c'era una cosa da fare specie su backtrack ,un comando per fare andare bene il x.server e che e :fix-splash ,,,, oppure fix-spash 800_600 Per il secondo commando non me la ricordo molto bene -lo eseguito solo una volta. Se hai dei problemi ,puoi sempre installare i pachetti del gnome -gdm3 che va bene per debian ,oppure a tua scelta mate e altri desktop manager.

Grazie, startx restituiva un errore; ho risolto comunque installando andromize-lxde, che mostra via RDP il desktop LXDE su un altro computer, tablet, o sul cellulare stesso se dotato di client RDP. Io ho provato sia l'RDP da cellulare a cellulare con client android e server Debian, sia da cellulare a computer fisso collegato via wifi (e il cellulare faceva da hotspot). In entrambi i casi LXDE si e' aperto e sono riuscito a lanciare alcune applicazioni, era un po' come lavorare su un computer vecchio di 10 anni ma funzionava tutto. Mi ci vorrebbe un cellulare nuovo per fare bene queste cose :D

LXDE non e' in ogni caso ottimizzato per uno schermo da 4", pertanto la soluzione RDP mi sembra tutto sommato la migliore.

Via terminale come dicevo non ho alcun problema, in particolare nel gestire server ssh o ftp o sui comandi di shell piu' comuni (tar, md5sum,...), anche per via delle infime richieste hardware necessarie... sottolineo che Debian sta girando accanto ad Android, cioe' in contemporanea e non in dual boot, su un terminale con processore single core 1GHz e dei 512MB di RAM teorici ne ho liberi circa 100 all'avvio, quindi francamente e' inutile pensare troppo alla grafica.
