Installare cups-pdf su Xubuntu

Salve a tutti, ho installato su un sistema con Xubuntu 12.04 il pacchetto cups-pdf.
Ho configurato nel file /etc/cups/cups-pdf.conf la seguente opzioneOut ${HOME}/Scrivaniain modo da avere i files in output sulla mia scrivania.
Ho provato varie stampe di prova ma non viene generato nessun file...

Qualcuno è riuscito a configurare con successo questa stampante?

Sulla mia Fedora 16 è impostato così:
Out ${DESKTOP} e in effetti me li salva sulla Scrivania.

Impostando Out ${DESKTOP} la stampa viene trattenuta. Nella pagina di amministrazione di Cups dice failed per un non meglio specificato errore. Il bello invece è che per i test che ho effettuato con la variabile impostata sulla mia Scrivania mi dice correttamente completed. :confused:

No, il mio è molto più lungo.... (intendo il file di configurazione... :D :sofico: )
E come scritto nelle note del tuo file la variabile ${DESKTOP} è specifica per fedora.
