Tempeste solari, meteoriti, satelliti vaganti... le minacce per la Terra sono molte. L'ESA gli dedica un programma TV, "Space Situational Awareness", che suona come "Consapevolezza sulla situazione spaziale".
In onda il 3 giugno alle 08.45 ora italiana sulla TV Satellitare ESA:
Background information on the transmission:
Protect Europe's citizens and satellites based services from any space hazard this is the reason for the Space Situational Awareness Programme.
Currently in its preparatory phase, this programme will enter into operations in 2012.
Its objective is to support Europe's independent utilisation of space through the provision of timely and accurate information, data particularly regarding hazards to infrastructure in orbit and on the ground.
This video explans the current status of SSA programme.
