Dear customer,
Thank you for contacting Belkin Technical Support.
As per my understanding, you're facing problem installing your printer with Belkin wireless router.
For connecting your printer, please ensure that the following parameters are in place:
1) Printer drivers should have been installed on all the computers.
2) You should be able to print from all the computers by connecting the printer directly to the computer.
3) "File and Printer Sharing" should have been enabled on all the computers by contacting Microsoft, provided the operating system on the computers is
Windows based.
4) The printer should be a network printer and thus compatible to work with a DHCP device like the router.
Please follow the steps given below to configure your printer with the router:
Disconnect from the printer in the 'USB Print & Storage Centre' on the computer, and then remove the printer from 'Devices & Printers'
Please then uninstall the printer drivers/software from 'Programs & Features' and restart the computer.
Unplug the printer from the router
Once the computer is restarted, check that the printer is not listed in 'Devices & Printers'
Plug the printer back into the router. The router software should tell you that a new printer has been detected, and ask you if you want to connect automatically. Select 'No'.
Then start installing the software and drivers for the printer again.
When the printer installation software asks you to plug in the printer, please right click the symbol for the belkin software, go to 'USB Print & Storage Centre' and then select 'Use xx' (where xx will be replaced by the name of your printer).
At that point the computer will connect to the printer via the router, allowing Windows to detect the printer hardware and install the drivers. The printer installation software should also recognise that the printer has been detected and installed.
Proceed through the rest of the printer installation software.
Once the printer installation software has finished, please go into the 'USB Print and Storage Centre' part of the Belkin software again. You will see the printer listed there. Please right click it and select 'Properties' Then please enable the 'sharing' option. That will allow the computer to connect and disconnect automatically when it needs to print.
