Riporto i risultati di mediainfo per due file mkv. Il primo si vede nel mio reader, il secondo no. Cosa cambia tra i due??:mc:

il lettore mi dice formato non compatibile. Il primo invece va da dio. Da pc si aprono entrambi

Quel video ha 2 problemi:

Il Reference Frames troppo alto (11) ma perlopiù produce scattosità fino al blocco totale, un valore ottimale non dovrebb essere superiore a 4, soluzione riencodare il file.

Il secondo problema è il profilo, è L@5.1, il massimo possibile in genere è 4.1, soluzione: riencodare oppure provare ad abbassarlo con H264info dopo aver estratto il flusso video con MKVExtractGui e quindi rimuxare il film con MKVMerge.

Non uso linux però posso consigliarti Handbrake che lavora un pò su tutte le piattaforme: http://handbrake.fr/downloads.php

Altri magari sapranno consigliarti meglio.

trovato handbrake, vediamo un po' che riesco a fare

edit: come si modifica il format profile? non trovo l'opzione...intanto googlo un po'...

Handbrake:
output = mkv
Start il video processato in output in automatico level @L4.0

se vuoi impostare il livello in output manualmente:
Xvid4psp
oppure un convertitore che usi il codec: Xvid
Fai dei test sul video sino a soluzione.

lateralmente handbrake permette di selezionare profilo normale, che determina un profilo 4.0. Il risultato è un file di 3 giga in meno visibile sul lettore integrato nel tv
