<p align="left">Power VR ha ufficialmente annunciato, al Cebit 2002 di Hannover, la nuova
verisone di chip Kyro II SE: rispetto alla precedente generazione di chip, la frequenza di
lavoro è stata portata a 200 Mhz contro gli originari 175 Mhz. Prossimamente è previsto
il rilascio di una nuova versione di driver che dovrebbe permettere nuovi livelli
prestazionali utilizzando applicazioni che sfruttano le funzionalitò di Transform &
Lightning.</p>

Sembra che anche Power Vr abbia intrapreso la strada di Nvidia....alzano il clock del proc e della ram ed oplà....ecco a voi una sk video nuova di zecca.....ma sanno dell'esistenza di un gruppo di stolti che lo fa in proprio e comodamente seduti a casa questo lavoro senza spendere una lira...pardon...un euro?? Ma!!!

andreat, PowerVR è l'esatto contrario di Nvidia. Ti sembra ke abbia aumentato il clock o messo tanta nuova tecnologia? 25Mhz sono un minimo rispetto la nuovo FSAA, al nuovo T&L e alle tante altre cose...

Vorrei riportare una notizia relativa alla Kyro2 SE, presa (spero che non se la piglino) da Kyrozone al riguardo:

"Tutti i maggiori siti fan stranieri dei chip Kyro hanno preparato degli articoli in cui espongono le informazioni che sono riuscite a strappare agli stand di PowerVR Technologies, Hercules e STMicroelectronics.
Vi faccio un sunto delle informazioni più significative che sono state raccolte:
1) L'architettura PowerVR di quarta generazione è pronta per essere commercializzata. Stiamo ovviamente parlando del Kyro III. David Harold lo ha ufficialmente dichiarato in un'intervista sottolineando che se la scheda fosse presentata oggi offrirebbe prestazioni di fascia alta. Purtroppo la situazione di STMicroelectronics ha portato ad un rinvio. PowerVR di fatto sta aspettando che STM concluda il più presto possibile un accordo. David confida nella presentazione del prodotto entro 3 mesi.
Eccovi un piccolo estratto dell'intervista:
Q: Speaking of upcoming products, how far in development is Series 4?

A: Well in fact series 4 is done, ready to be produced! However, you know the situation around ST. We need to wait until ST makes a deal, or not. When they can make a deal, we can start producing Series 4. If they cannot sell their graphics department, we have another issue. And maybe we are going to work with others. But this is all speculation, as I don't know how far ST is in their deals. You just have to wait and see what is going to happen.

Q: What kind of performance can we expect of Series 4? High end or Midrange?

A: The performance is actually in the high end section. However, the longer the situation around ST keeps going on, we have to wait until the new part can be shipped. So if we would ship the product now, the card is really a high end part, but if we have to wait another 3 months we are back in the mid-end.

2) Il nuovo TRUE FSAA onchip riprende in alcuni punti la tecnica FSAA4Free del core PowerVR MBX, ma a differenza di questo il calo di prestazioni non dovrebbe essere nullo, bensì dovrebbe essere nell'ordine del 7%.

3) L'Enhaced T&L Engine è una soluzione software che sfrutta alcune delle caratteristiche del nuovo hardware Kyro II SE per velocizzare al massimo i calcoli T&L. I giochi e i benchmark rileveranno il Kyro II SE come dotato di T&L Hardware e non sarà possibile attivarlo sulle attuali schede basate sul Kyro e Kyro II.

4) Tra le demo visualizzate allo stand di PowerVR Technologies c'era anche una basata sul motore grafico di Unreal 2 funzionante fluidamente con il Kyro II SE (si parla di 50-60 fps)."

Il KyroIISE uscirà nel giro di un mese circa..il KyroIII si spera in 3 mesi...diciamo l'estate vah...

Guarda, David Harold, colui a cui hanno fatto l'intervista, è il presidente di PWR se non sbaglio... :D
Quindi dovrebbero essere più che ufficiali... :D
