View Full Version : Epox 8hka+ per oc: 2116 o ultimissimo bios?
Dovrei montarla ma mi annoio, sto ancora tirando con questo p3 450 su bx440. Ho dato un occhio alla FAQ nella sign di spaceboy, che dire, prolissa...Dunque da intelista su bx mi son dovuto fare una cultura sui chipset VIA in 2 ore, dire che ho mal di testa è poco: via 4in1, AGP driver, settaggi BIOS, versioni bios ecc...
Ho capito più o meno tutto, però vorrei sapere (magari da space) se è meglio mettere l'ultimo bios ufficiale o il 2116, dalla sopracitata FAQ non è che c'ho capito molto (oltretutto non è aggiornatissima).
Premesso che ho speso qualcosa in più per la gioia dell'oc:
XP1700+ AGOIA
256Mb Mushkin DDR PC2100
Thermalright SK6 + delta (vecchiotto ma relativamente economico)
Maxtor 40Gb ATA133
e ovviamente epox 8hka+, il tutto alimentato da un chieftec 340W
Non chiedo chissà cosa, mi piacerebbe raggiungere i 150mhz di FSB

P.S.: Ho fatto una ricerca, il problema è che ci sono decine e decine di post a riguardo, e già mi sono perso una volta nella FAQ :\

dunque... io andrei col bios 2116..
i 150x11 li fai senza fiatare credimi ;)
io direi 157x11 anche..
se hai installato MBM5 controlla sempre i voltaggi.. purtoppo sui 1780 il +5 si abbassa e il vcore va dai 1.82 a1.84 max;)

I miei variano tra i 4.89 e i 4.97....e ho un enermax 431 W!!!!!!!!!!
Attualmente sto a 1.80 di v core e a 140 Mhz...oltre mi si palla tutto!!!

il mio secende anche a 4.76 .. di media 4.84 persò sono a 1780
Dovrei moddare l'enermax .. e una mobo che passa i 1.85 ..
infatti a me da 1.82/1.84 e nn basta per la cpu..
1780 rock solid... più su nn posso dirlo al 100%

a me il vcore non oscilla con il tb @1.57 e non oscillava neanche con il 300W. Il +5 si ma non il vcore. 1.86 dal bios fisso e 1.9 dal monitor in winzozz fisso idle e full load. Strano che la tua epox scenda così tanto in full load ( credo sia in full load 1.82/1.84 ).
La tua epox va sostituita. Decisamente. :D

Ma allora perchè non riesco a salire oltre i 140Mhz?? Ho provato anche con le memorie impostate su Normal a cas 2.5 ( spreco per le Corsair :( ...) e con voltaggio a 2.9, ma niente!!! Anche salendo di v core...niente!!! Mi hanno detto che dovrò moddare l'ali, ma è possibile??? Con l'armamentario che ho sulla carta quanto meno dovrei arrivare almeno a 1700 Mhz....
Non so più cosa fare...a parte sblokkare il molti....l'ali non lo moddo con quel che costa....
Datemi una vostra opinione, magari è il BIOS....io ho il 01/08/2002...non ho mai flashato un bios però!!!

quindi si dice che è il chipset che supporta i divisori e sicuramente in concomitanza d un PLL ( in questo caso ICS 94228 ) che supporta i divisori. Ergo chipset+PLL=divisori...ma allora xchè su alcuni KT266A funziona lo stesso? Non è che anche il KT266A li ha?
C'è da meditare su questa affermazione.

Io stesso Spakkiuso sono arrivato a 147 mhz. Di più non ho provato... :rolleyes:

Io ho comprato una 8Kha+ x mio fratello a fine febbraio e il mio negoziante mi ha detto che gli arrivava la EPOX col RAID il 15 marzo, x cui l'attesa è quasi finita.......;-). Consoidera che egli si rifornisce direttamente dall'importatore nazionale EPOX a Firenze, x cui penso sia abbastanza affidabile come informazione.....

Ho avuto alcune conferme che screditano il Bios 21.16 per chi ha una ATI 8500 , infatti non riesco a superare i 300@300 mentre prima arrivavo anche a 315@315 ...
mI hanno detto che e' colpa del bios 21.16...

infatti..ci avevo pensato anch'io.la ventola da 90 si puo' montare tranquillamente sull'sk6 senza alcun conv.sai che risultati poi con 110cfm!!!!!il rumore pero'.....bisognerebbe farla andare a @7v ed
avrebbe una bella resa lo stesso.cmq la settimana prossima tolgo
la mia delta da 69cfm e ci metto quella da 80cfm e vediamo cosa succede..
