What is the advantages of intel i7 processors ?

My customer requested a new PC in built i7 processors. He is also asking the advantages than core2 Duo 3 GHZ processors. I am unable to answer it.

there are many advantages to buy an i7:
-best performance in professional\productivity programs(like Corel, photoshop, 3DStudio Max)
-best use of vga's potential(in multi-vga sistems, for single vga an i5 750\Phenom 965 is enough)


imho i recommend that an AMD processor like Athlon X4, Phenom X2 is the best choice in low ends sistems(under 600€ only case)

A Core i7 cpu has got at least 4 cores (so you will have 2 more cores than the core2duo) and more performance per mhz (a quad core cpu based on nehalem core w 2.66Ghz will run "better" than a quad core cpu based on core2 technology. With default frequencies and the same things in the case, a core i7-based pc will run faster then the core2duo-based pc all the programs that uses all the cpu, like the video editors ecc ecc
I've tried to explain it with simple words and sorry for my poor english :P
