View Full Version : Problema trasferimento files samba

Ciao a tutti, nella mia rete domestica ho aggiunto da poco un file server basato su ubuntu 10.4, versione desktop sul quale ho installato e configurato samba in modo da poter condividere un disco usb (formattato ext3) collegato al server.
Il problema si presenta randomicamente quando vado a copiare i files (tipicamente divx) dal disco condiviso agli altri pc della rete (tutti windows). Capita infatti che a volte il trasferimento si interrompa con un messaggio di errore relativo al I/O hardware. Questo accade anche durante gli streaming dei divx.
Se provo a trasferire i files dal disco ad una chiavetta usb collegata direttamente sul server, il problema non si presenta.
Vi posto la configurazione di samba che ho attualmente, sperando che possa essere utile per risolvere questo stranissimo problema.

in effetti sono tutti pezzi di recupero alcuni piuttosto old come la scheda di rete. però durante la navigazione normale questi problemi non mi sembra si siano mai presentati...mi sa che dovrò provare con xp come funziona, ma mi girano le palle tornare a M$.

ciao, non è facile configurare samba con lo script, basta solo una riga o un codice errato che si impazzisce.

Se ti dovesse servire una condivisione semplice metti gli hard disk in avvio automatico con il pc e poi fai una condivisione cartella semplice con il tasto destro sulla cartella.

Se ti dovesse servire un condivisione piu complessa ti consiglio di vedere le giude su internet.
Ecco un modello di codice:

workgroup = GRUPPO < prima configurazione su samba
server string = NOME SERVER

security = user < seconda configurazione gli account e ristrezioni
obey pam restriction = yes
guest account = TUO ACCOUNT
invalid users = root

[cartella] < terza configurazione ogni cartella che condividi
comment = cartella1
path = /media/HARD DISK/CARTELLA
read only = no
guest ok = yes
guest only = yes
create mask = 0600
directory mask = 0700

Spero che questo modello ti dia un idea, forse hai qualche problema sulle restrizioni degli account o sulla lettura e scrittura delle cartelle.

Sul mio file server samba accessibile contemporaneamente da vari pc ho nella sezione [global] la seguente impostazione:
socket options = TCP_NODELAY SO_RCVBUF=8192 SO_SNDBUF=8192

Segnalo comunque che la rete (skede e switch) è da 1000mbit

Nei log ci sono parecchie righe strane, a partire dagli errori di comunicazione con Cups (usi Cups?), per finire con i pessimi "stat failed", "couldn't get realpath", ecc...

Quando si presenta l'errore invoca il comando dmesg (http://unixhelp.ed.ac.uk/CGI/man-cgi?dmesg+8)
Trovi qualcosa di collegabile al disco in fondo al lungo output? Leggilo dal fondo; non posso prevedere quante righe potrebbero riguardare l'eventuale errore ne cosa potrebbero contenere per restringere l'output.

Non trovo fuori luogo il suggerimento di orenom, però, stando ai log e agli esperimenti con la chiavetta, non sembra essere un problema di rete.

Anche il suggerimento di nico_roma ci sta, puoi provare a passare security = user che mi risulta essere usata più comunemente, quindi potenzialmente meno soggetta ad eventuali bug.

Per finire ricordo a tutti dell'esistenza del comodo comando testparm (http://www.samba.org/samba/docs/man/manpages-3/testparm.1.html) che legge il file smb.conf, ne controlla la correttezza, suggerisce eventuali correzioni e lo riformatta nel modo migliore.

P.S. per togliere il rumore generato da Cups (sempre se non lo usi) puoi provare a disattivarne la ricerca con questi parametri nella sezione global:load printers = No
printcap name = /dev/null
disable spoolss = Yes

ciao a tutti e grazie per le molte risposte! in questi giorni sono in ferie, per cui non posso provare direttamente le varie soluzioni che mi avete proposto, ma appena a casa lo farò.cmq per quanto riguarda cups, avevo già rimosso le righe relative. appena sarò a casa riupperò il tipica, tranquilli!

sarebbe meglio montare il disco con una riga sul file /etc/fstab, evitando di lasciarlo montare a Gnome.

premetto che ho avuto qualche giorno per fare degli esperimenti che tra poco andrò a descrivere e che da un paio di giorni (di test) pare funzionare bene.

La condivisione semplice di gnome mi diceva "semplicemente" di installare samba per poter contiunuare a creare una cartella condivisa, nel senso che a sistema pulito e appena installato non ero in grado di poterla fare senza installare samba, per cui ho proceduto; a quel punto la condivisione è avvenuta, ma con i problemi che ho descritto sopra.

Veniamo alla parte degli esperimenti :D nel fine settimana ho provveduto a:
- ripristinare il file di configurazione originale di samba, che mi ha portato
- creare una cartella condivisa sul disco di installazione del SO, che ha funzionato senza problemi
- cambiare la porta usb del disco esterno
- collegare una penna usb alla porta dove prima c'era il disco, riscontrando che la penna NON aveva problemi.

Dopo aver rimosso la penna, senza toccare null'altro la cosa al momento funziona. Non so, però, se sia la combinazione delle tre o una sola di quelle cose che ho fatto. Io mi sono fatto l'idea che sia la porta usb...è una scheda di espansione usb 2 cinese...
Ora ho "paura" a toccare qualcosa per timore che si impalli di nuovo, anche se vorrei cambiare il nome del gruppo di lavoro in samba e cancellare la cartella condivisa di prova (anche se non da fastidio).
Cosa ne pensate?
