MSI P45 BIOS corrotto

Ciao a tutti,

ho acquistato una mobo da un utente qui sul mercatino ma, sorpresa, bios corrotto. Nell'attesa che il simpaticone risponda posto qui.

Se accendo il sistema viene scritto:

Bad BIOS checksum. Starting BIOS Recovery...
Checking for USB device...

-se non metto nessuna usb dice:

Please install USB Flash Disk with BIOS file...

-se metto una penna usb vuota con il file del bios la schermata si ferma a checking for usb device...

E' da ore che navigo in rete ma non ci salto fuori, c'è qualcuno che può aiutarmi? :(

Inoltre mi domandavo, visto che tra le procedure di ripristino c'è anche quella col floppy, come si fa a ficcare un bios di 4mb in un floppino?? bah...

oltre al bios prova a metterci anche il programmino per la flashatura.
oppure prova un CD-R

Ci ho messo tutti i file che ho scaricato dal sito msi nella sezione della mobo ma niente.

scaricati il bios dal sito MSI:
http://www.msi.com/index.php?func=downloadfile&dno=9127&type=bios

scompatta i files e copiati solo il files "A7512IMS.160" cosi come è in una chiavetta usb formattata in fat32 senza sub directory (il file deve essere nella radice della chiave usb).

spegni la corrente, resetta il cmos con il jumper e accendi il pc con la chiave inserita

la procedura ci vuole un pò e voi va.

se non ti va fai cosi:
rinominare il nome del bios da "A7512IMS.160" in "AMIBOOT.ROM" e rifai la procedura sopra

Of course, the steps are similar to the standard AMI BIOS Recovery Procedure for internal floppy drives (rename corresponding BIOS File to AMIBOOT.ROM, hit CTRL + HOME after starting the system).

What has to be done (tested on P45 Platinum):

1. An optical SATA Drive needs to be connected to one of the Intel ICH10R SATA ports. {After a lot of testing, I found that it does not work with the same optical drive connected to the SATA Ports hosted by the secondary JMicron Controller. Also, using an optical drive on the JMicron IDE/PATA port does not help either.}

2. A proper BIOS File has to be renamed to AMIBOOT.ROM and burned on an empty CD.

3. CMOS-Clear with main A/C power cable removed from PSU has to be performed. {If this step is not done, the system will reboot after pressing CTRL + Home and will not proceed with recovery procedure.}

4. Press CTRL + Home to trigger BIOS Recovery. -> The system should enter BIOS Recovery Routine. {Will basically work with both USB & PS/2 keyboard. However, a PS/2 Keyboard is recommended as the system will respond earlier to PS/2 Keyboard than to USB Devices.}

What should happen now:

1. After pressing CTRL + HOME the LED Status should change to "Intializing Hard Disk Controller" and there should be access to the optical drive connected to the Intel ICH10R SATA ports.

2. It can take up to 30+ seconds until the BIOS File that was renamed to AMIBOOT.ROM is found. {Drive Bay can be opened to try a different CD without turning off or restarting the system.}

3. When the system finds the BIOS File, LED Status will change to "Testing RTC" and there should be a message on the screen indicating that the Flash Recovery Procedure has started.

4. Since the BIOS File is 4MB in size, it will take a while until the BIOS is actually reflashed.




Sul perchè di cio' non te lo so dire, l'ho smontata che sul mio pc funzionava, l'unica cosa che posso dirti sono di stare attenti alle scosse elettrostatiche che molti ignoranoe ... io quando mondo e smonto qualunque pezzo del pc ho il collarino antistatico e l'ho fatto anche quando ho smontato al tua MB ... quindi io so quello che faccio e la MB e partita da casa mia perfetta senza nessun problema ... quello che è successo dopo non te lo so dire, il trasporto non gli può causare nulla visto che era tutto nelle sue confezioni antistatiche e ultramega imballato bene come hai potuto vedere.

Ho già provato, per questo ho postato qui.
Con il drive ottico sata non posso provare perchè non ce l'ho.
Anche io sto attento alle misure antistatiche e i bios non si corrompono durante il trasporto.

Guarda sbagli sicuramente qualcosa nella procedura leggiti bene quello che ho scritto e fallo passo passo.

ho ripristinato 2 MSi p45 diamond in quel modo da ragazzi che durante il flash del bios gli è andata via la corrente e non partiva assolutamente nulla ... tu che ti fa il boot e hai un errore nel checksum dovresti andare anche via piu facilmente.

Mettiti con calma e fai le procedure passo passo.

guarda secondo me o la chiavetta o il filesystem che deve essere assolutamente in fat altrimenti non te lo legge, stano comunque io coem di dicevo ho ripristinato tramite usb molti bios presi molto peggio ... beh l'importante è che hai risolto, mi spiace dell'accaduto ma ti assicuro che io l'ho smontata perfettamente funzionante.
