[XP Pro] Problema installazione, disco SATA non riconosciuto

Ciao,

sto reinstallando XP Pro su un portatile HP NX7400 del quale hanno smarrito il DVD di ripristino.

Purtroppo quando cerco di installare XP Pro, dopo aver caricato i vari moduli, un messaggio di mi dice che è impossibile trovare un harddisk sul quale installare il sistema operativo.
(che sul portatile un disco 2.5'' SATA).

Ovviamente è perchè il CD di XP Pro che ho in qualche maniera non supporta SATA.. non avrà i moduli necessari...
Ma come posso fare per mandare avanti l'installazione e fargli conoscere questo benedetto SATA?

cosa mi serve?


1. è un modulo generico che può fornirmi Microsoft o trovo in rete?
2. è un modulo SPECIFICO per il modello di portatile che ho?

(se fosse il caso 2. sarebbe un bel casino, se ogni modello di portatile deve fornirmi un modulo SATA diverso.....)

devi procurarti un supporto floppy usb prendere il cd della tua scheda madre e fare un disco floppy con all'interno il driver sata..quando all'installazione in basso c'è scritto "premi f6 per installare un driver scsi o raid" quindi premi f6 e dopo poco ti appare una schermata in cui ti dice di inserire il disco floppy e premere invio selezioni il driver da un'elenco ed è fatta.....fammi sapere.

i floppy non esistono più ..... ho provato a ficcargli dentro una USBKEY... ma voleva installarci Windows!! :D

cmq mi sono girate. e ho fatto un CD con nlite... SP3 e AHCI generici dal sito INTEL, spero basti questo.

niente da fare... non funge.


ho scaricato qualche driver dal sito HP.. relativo al portatile specifico... ma non si possono aggiungere perchè vanno installati, manca il file *.inf scompattando gli archivi ed nLite lo necessita.

Cmq.. ho trovato all'interno del BIOS la possibilità di ATTIVARE / DISATTIVARE la modalità SATA nativa.

Dear Kumar, here are the instructions how to successfuly install Windows XP on a s-ata drive, but it has to have SERVICE PACK 2 integrated:

1) Enter F10 Setup, and go to System Configuration/Device Configurations/SATA Native Mode to Disable.
2) Install Windows XP Service Pack 2 in whatever manner is typical for your organization.
3) Download the Intel SATA AHCI Controller Driver, SoftPaq SP32478.exe, from www.hp.com.
4) Extract all the files from the SoftPaq. A USB floppy is necessary for this step. Run sp32478; this will create a floppy disk. The files will be located on this floppy.
5) These files should be located on the floppy disk.
a. iaahci.cat
b. iaahci.inf
c. iastor.cat
d. iastor.inf
e. iastor.sys
f. license.txt
g. readme.txt
h. txtsetup.oem
6) Download and run the Intel Chipset Installation Utility for ICH7, SoftPaq SP32781, from www.hp.com.
7) In Device Manager, right-click the IDE ATA/ATAPI controllers/Intel 82801 GBM/GHM (ICH7-M Family) Serial ATA Storage Controller and select "Update Driver".
8) Follow these steps to complete the Hardware Update Wizard:
a. At the first dialog, select "No, not this time" when prompted to connect to Windows Update.
b. At the next dialog, select "Install from a list or specific location (Advanced)".
c. At the next dialog, select "Don't search. I will choose the driver to install".
d. When prompted to select the device driver you want to install for this hardware, do not choose anything but click the "Have Disk..."-button.
e. Type "A:\" and click OK.
f. When prompted to select the device driver you want to install for this hardware, select the Intel 82801GBM SATA AHCI Controller
g. A warning that Windows cannot verify that the device is compatible with your hardware will appear. When asked if you want to continue installing the driver, select Yes.
h. The installation will complete.
9) Shut down Windows and restart the computer. Enter F10 setup when prompted during the boot.
10) Go to System Configuration/Device Configurations/SATA Native Mode and change it to Enable, then save settings and exit F10 Setup.
11) After Windows restarts, the additional SATA components will be updated. A System Settings Change will appear. When asked "Do you want to restart your computer now?" click Yes.
12) When Windows restarts, the SATA AHCI drivers will be completely installed.

The prolem is, the file extracts only to a floppy, so if you don't have an USB floppy drive around or another PC with a floppy drive you are pretty much in deep trouble. So I have made a zip file with all the necessary files to skip the floppy hassle.

I hope it works out for you. Remember your Windows CD hast to be SP2.

possibile che non trovi un floppy usb!! prova su internet lo trovi...... con un floppy è piu semplice io con i portatili uso sempre questo metodo....:D se no fai un immagine iso del tuo cd win xp aprilo con iso buster e metti all'interno dei driver da caricare anche quello sata però è più difficile.......

si ma kaiser! Possibile che non esista un archivio ZIP invece che un EXE che ti formatta un floppy, per dei driver nati nel 2007? mica erano driver del 1989....

Poi puoi scompattare il file exe con Universal extractor (http://legroom.net/software/uniextract) ed ottieni i file che puoi integrare con nlite.
