View Full Version : Disperazione: Asus EeeBox B202 si riavvia da solo senza BSOD

Ciao a tutti, dopo aver letto decine di thread in giro per Internet mi sono deciso ad iscrivermi a questo forum per chiedervi un aiuto.

Sono letteralmente disperato!

In pratica ho appena acquistato un Asus EeeBox B202 per gestire e pubblicare in Internet i dati della mia stazione meteo amatoriale (il tutto è consultabile alla pagina www.meteorovereto.it). Il pc deve fungere da muletto... ecco perchè ho acquistato l'eeebox: indubbiamente ero attratto dai suoi consumi estremamente bassi, il pc infatti dovrebbe rimanere acceso 24 ore su 24, ad oltranza.

DOVREBBE. Infatti tende a riavviarsi di continuo. Lo fa almeno 4-5 volte al giorno. E non capisco perchè!!!

Il sistema operativo è Windows XP, ed il pc è costantemente collegato alla mia rete domestica via wireless (ecco perchè ho postato qui questo thread). L'indirizzo di questo pc (che si chiama DAVIS) è 192.168.1.7, il router ha indirizzo 192.168.1.1 ed è della Telecom (mi pare si chiami Alice Gate, ha due antenne).

Allego una schermata contenente il registro degli eventi di sistema. L'ultima volta che il pc si è riavviato sono andato a controllare che genere di evento si era verificato...

Mentre PCPAPA è il PC di mio padre (192.168.1.2), collegato al router via ethernet. Non capisco come possa influire sul riavvio del mio pc (letto il messaggio dell'evento 8021? Ma che vuol dire?)...

Ma siamo sicuri che l'errore 8032 sia direttamente connesso al riavvio di questo pc? Per scrupolo ho controllato il registro degli eventi del pc di mio padre... Anche il suo registro riporta l'errore 8032, ma quello mica si riavvia!!!

Poco fa ho avuto il terzo riavvio della serata. Che palle!!!

Credevo di aver risolto. Dopo aver aggiornato i driver della scheda wireless per un po' non ho avuto più problemi ma purtroppo il pc ha ripreso a riavviarsi. Il problema è che ora non ne lascia più traccia nella visualizzazione di eventi.

Evidentemente ho risolto l'errore 8032, ma i continui riavvii del pc non erano strettamente connessi a quello.

COSA DIAVOLO PUO' ESSERE?

Prova a scarenarlo, magari si riavvia a causa di temperature troppo elevate.

A un mese dall'acquisto? Non esiste, glie lo rimando indietro su due piedi. Tra l'altro se lo scareno perdo la garanzia.

Uhm, fai come credi, solitamente i riavvii di questo tipo sono dovuti a temperature troppo elevate di CPU/MOBO. Prova ad installare qualche tool che monitora la temperatura interna e vedi se effettivamente supera la soglia di guardia.

Potresti consigliarmi qualche tool affidabile per monitorare la faccenda e suggerirmi qual'è la temperatura che non dovrebbero superare il mio processore e la mia scheda madre (o al limite indicarmi dove posso trovare queste informazioni)?

I parametri sembrano ottimali... non è che da BIOS puoi settare la temperatura di shutdown del PC, e questa è intorno ai 60 °C? Controlla e fammi sapere...

Ad ogni modo per sicurezza ho deciso di reimpostare i valori di fabbrica.

E se fosse l'alimentatore del pc?

Non è da escludere nemmeno questa eventualità. Non vorrei inoltre che il tuo alimentatore sia troppo sensibile ad eventuali sbalzi di tensione... hai un UPS a cui collegare il tutto per vedere se i riavvii persistono nonostante tale accorgimento?

Purtroppo no, ma non c'è un modo per sapere a priori se l'alimentatore è la causa di questi continui riavvii? Tipo, che ne so, consultando i valori dell'alimentazione attraverso qualche programma in grado di monitorarli?

Aggiungo un'informazione che potrebbe tornarvi utile: per connettere la stazione meteo al pc, ho dovuto fare ricorso ad un adattaore seriale > usb, poichè l'Asus Eee Box è sprovvisto di porta seriale. Non è che il passaggio da seriale a usb può determinare il riavvio? A me pare che comunque il tutto funzioni alla perfezione... Anche consultando la gestione periferiche sembra che i driver siano correttamente aggiornati e che la periferica funzioni alla perfezione.

Ma è possibile che non esista alcun modo di sapere con certezza a cosa diavolo siano dovuti questi continui riavvii??? Per caso c'è qualcuno in grado di interpretare un minidump, se lo allego qui?

Dopo settimane di ricerche, ho capito dov'era il problema. Il pc non c'entrava niente, è perfetto. Stavo quasi per spedirlo in garanzia col rischio di rimetterci pure dei soldi!!!

La mia stazione meteo, invece, è incompatibile con questo pc in quanto l'eee box non monta sulla scheda madre la porta seriale. In pratica l'adattatore seriale-usb fa crashare il sistema. Il problema è ampiamente descritto qui:
