ATI announces sales agreement with Connect3D

New European add-in-board partner to serve system integration and distribution markets
<br><br>
Munich, Germany, February 4th, 2002 - ATI Technologies Inc. (TSE: ATY, NASDAQ: ATYT), a world leader in the supply of graphics, video and multimedia solutions, and Connect3D, a newly formed European supplier of add-in graphics cards based on ATI chip technology, announced today an agreement to deliver ATI-powered graphics solutions to the system integration (SI) and distribution channels.
<br><br>
Focused on supporting European SIs and distributors, Connect3D will design, manufacture and market a complete range of graphics add-in boards based on ATI 3D graphics technologies, including the award-winning RADEON* 8500 and RADEON* 7500 graphics chips. ATI will assist Connect3D to get to market in a timely fashion with high-quality products by supplying them with a full range of reference designs, optimised software drivers and technical support.
<br><br>
Following the announcement of ATI's strategy to service the SI and distribution channels through partnerships with leading original design manufacturers (ODMs) and add-in board manufacturers (AIBs) in May last year, ATI has shown great success in lining up an ever increasing number of partners worldwide. The agreement with Connect3D adds another European company to the group of ATI's AIB and ODM partners and will provide SIs and distributors with a wider choice of suppliers of ATI desktop graphics solutions and a more competitive market in general.
<br><br>
"We are delighted about our agreement with Connect3D," says Gerd Queisser, Senior Vice President Europe at ATI. "As a European-based partner providing solely ATI-powered products, Connect3D will help ATI to significantly grow market share in the European SI and distribution segments."
<br><br>
"Connect3D is excited to announce this sales agreement with ATI," says Darren Grasby, Managing Director of Connect3D. "With this strong support from ATI, Connect3D has the platform to further penetrate the European graphics market with an entire range of ATI-powered products."</i></blockquote>
