Non riesco a compilare

ho un sorgente, ma non riesco a compilare, ho installato i gcc, do make ma mi dice che non trova il comando.
Come OS ho Debian

Il mekefile c'è.

l'errore che mi da è questo: -bash: make: command not found.

Ubuntu, ha un "meta pacchetto" che racchiude tutto il necessario per la compilazione e si chiama "build-essentials", non so se Debian abbia qualcosa di simile.

c'è anche in debian ma la "S" finale non serve :) hehehhe. è fatto male il makefile, non riesce a creare un file. uffa.....
