Benchmark di velocità in lettura di tutte le periferiche di memorizzazione

Verrà testata qualsiasi periferica di memorizzazione:
- hard disk di qualunque formato
- pendrive
- schede di memoria
- memorie interne di lettori mp3, fotocamere, eccetera
- altro

...e con qualsiasi interfaccia:
- PATA
- SATA
- SATAII
- USB
- altro

Per ciascuna periferica verranno riportati, nell'ordine:
- Marca
- Modello e firmware
- Formato
- Capacità [GB]
- Interfaccia
- Average read (AR), ovvero tempo di lettura medio [MB/s]
- Burst speed (BS) [MB/s]
- Random access (RA), ovvero tempo di accesso casuale [ms]
- Thread (se diverso da questo) e post di riferimento
- Note / eventuale adattatore particolare

...e invito chiunque a postare i risultati qui. I dati verranno aggiunti in prima pagina.

Per facilità di riferimento e affidabilità della fonte verranno riportati di seguito solo i risultati presenti qui sul forum e provvisti di screenshot. Verrà quindi indicato il numero progressivo del thread e del post in cui è presente tale screenshot; il numero del thread verrà omesso se ci si riferisce a quello corrente.
Se si vuole inserire un benchmark presente su qualche altro forum occorre caricarne qui (o in un altro punto del forum, se ha senso farlo) il link sotto forma di immagine; in questo caso sarebbe buona cosa citarne la fonte, in modo da essere riconoscente a chi ha fatto il benchmark.

Per linearità di lettura della discussione si invita a salvare gli screenshot in PNG, caricarli su un server di hosting immagini come www.imageshack.us, e postare i risultati direttamente come immagine in grande e non come miniatura cliccabile, aggiungendo nel post altre informazioni che riterrete necessarie circa ad esempio l'esatto modello della periferica se non compare nello screenshot, eccetera.

I risultati verranno ordinati per tempo di lettura medio e quindi per tempo di accesso casuale.
In blu sono riportate le periferiche con disco magnetico (essenzialmente hard disk classici), in nero quelle dotate di memoria flash (tipo pendrive, schede di memoria, o hard disk SSD).

...appoggiandosi ad esso almeno per i valori iniziali. Per praticità suggerisco quindi di abbandonare il thread appena citato e di continuare ad utilizzare questo generale.

Puoi benissimo salvarle in BMP e poi risalvarle in PNG (salvarle in JPG e poi in PNG è inutile e dannoso). Prova TPUCapture.

Ho trovato Faststone Capture.
Quando però copio il Direct Link da Image e lo inserisco nel tag, come da te indicato, l'immagine finale non è più possibile aprirla.

Il Direct Link è giusto, infatti quella non è l'anteprima ma l'immagine reale... che però è ridimensionata. Dovresti inserirla non ridimensionata.
Un'intera prima pagina e ancora non siamo riusciti ad inserire un bench... annamo bene... :D

Come hai fatto ad ottenere questi risultati? Sarebbe possibile incrementare la velocità di lettura del mio Hard Drive!?

Come hai fatto ad ottenere questi risultati? Sarebbe possibile incrementare la velocità di lettura del mio Hard Drive!?

In effetti il tuo disco sembra più lento di quello che dovrebbe essere.
Per caso è installato su una vecchia scheda madre, che è dotata solamente di ATA33? Perché sembra proprio che il problema sia la banda passante sull'interfaccia.

miglioramento conseguito attraverso cavo ad alta qualità, che ha permesso di raddoppiare il risultato rispetto a quello evidenzaiato dalla precedente analisi... anche i cavi sono importanti.
