grazie
ciao

implements a Dual-link interface, you will need a Dual-link cable to be able to meet the required physical specifications. The system, however, will operate at the Single-link technical specifications.

Yes, the 18 pin connector will fit the 24 pin connector.

English, however, I can read (not write) the Italian language just as well, so the language is not an issue, but clarity is!

I have linked the DVI out of my notebook to the TV HDMI in, but the connection doesn't work.
The TV show the message "No signal", the notebook instead recognizes the TV as a secondary monitor.
With the utility of my notebook, I have tried to change both the resolution and the frequency of the secondary monitor but the result is always the same.
Have you got an idea where it could be the problem? what you suggest me to do?
thanks

such as DVI-D, DVI-I, DVI-A?
Have you set the graphics card to Dual-Monitor mode and Video size compatible with the TV set? Try second Monitor set at 720x480p.
Have you set the TV set to the HDMI input?
Is your DVI cable OK?

the wire I have bought is a DVI-D single link and you can see here: http://cgi.ebay.it/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&rd=1&item=150305532800&ssPageName=STRK:MEWN:IT&ih=005
I have tried to set the Tv as a secondary monitor, also the tv setting is ok (i have only 2 HDMI input and I have checked the first and the second).
When I link the notebook with the TV, Windows show the message "New DVI connection revealed" so the cable is ok...
I have set the lower values for: resolution, color quality (16bit) and refresh rate...but the connection doesn't work.
Now that I have done everything that was to do, i think i have a poor graphic card (ATI Radeon X1400).
what is your opinion?

done everythig correctly, the connection should establish correctly, however, you must be sure that the DVI device and the HDMI device connected, both support the HDCP (High-bandwidth Digital Content Protection) otherwise no hand-shake (communication) will occur.
