Windows Vista su pc con poche risorse, cosa non vedrò ?

Salve a tutti
ho un portatile con intel centrino a 1,7ghz e 2gb di ddr2 a 533mhz e un hd ide da 100gb a 7200rpm e fin qui non è poi così male, il problema è che ho una vga integrata con 128mb di memoria il chip è l'intel 915.

La mia domanda è:
(installando la ultimade)
Quali funzioni di vista non saranno disponibili?
Solo l'interfaccia aereo o anche altre funzioni?

Con 128mb aero dovrebbe essere disponibile.
Prova ad usare Vista Upgrade Advisor per controllare se il tuo pc supporta vista (non dovresti avere problemi).

Solo il Movie Maker, per lo stesso motivo di Aero: non soddisfa i requisiti minimi di accelerazione hardware. Purtroppo, la 915, pur essendo DirectX 9, se le cose non sono cambiate, non è supportata da Aero :(

Direi proprio di sì. Sul vecchio PC che ho nel profilo sono solo quelli che non funzionano :) Il resto funzia tutto.

Ah, dimenticavo, nel caso della Ultimate, anche l'extra Dreamscene (quello del desktop "animato") non andrà, sempre per il solito motivo ;)

Ha bisogno di Aero per girare cmq, dunque la grafica è il primo requisito. Non so se si mangia la CPU o meno, io ho la Home Premium, non mi posso esprimere :D

La vga,anche se integrata,potrebbe supportare aero,basta che sia compatibile con dx9 e pixel shader 2.0 cose che puoi controllare con GPUz.

Effettivamente dreamscene è un succhiarisorse,quando attivo la cpu lavora al 16/20% su una macchina con un 6400+ x2 AM2 e una VGA 8600GT.
Lo ho installato ma usato rarissime volte.

Anch'io ce l'ho, ma è carino a vedersi solo 2-3 volte, poi stufa :D Però sul Core 2 Duo del mio portatile fila tranquillamente, seppur effettivamente la CPU risulti molto impegnata.

Io per stavolta sono fermo alla 32 :D Oramai mi conviene aspettare 1 annetto, con 7 :) Nel frattempo farò un upgrade di RAM alla bestiola...

Nada ragazzi non funziona l'aereo mi classifica la memoria video con 1 solo punticino :(

beh in teoria trattandosi di un'operazione in più che viene fatta in lettura/scrittura un pò rallenterà sicuramente, di quanto non saprei.... prova... e facci sapere

per attivare la crittografia bitlocker c'è bisogno di un chip sulla scheda madre che memorizzi le chiavi di cifratura chiamato TPM che ovviamente il mio notebook non ha.

C'è un link che spiega come attivare bitlocker senza TPM ma è in inglese.

Insomma per vista ci vuole un sacco di hardware specifico... mi sa che mi ci vuole un nuovo pc

Requisiti minimi scoperti fin ora (che servirebbero a me poi ognuno fa come gli pare):
1) compatibile con DX10
2) pixel shader 2.0
3) TPM 1.2
4) 2gb di ddr2
5) 100gb di hd
6) schermo superiore a 1024x768 (mi scoccia da morire spostare la barra per leggere alcuni siti web)

Ho controllato con gpuZ ho sm2.0 e ho installato il driver 915GM preso dal sito della intel ma nulla.

non è che hai la memoria video condivisa? Cioè che se la prende dalla ram e ne ha quindi meno di 128MB?

allora dovresti vedere se da bios riesci a dargli subito 128 MB. Ora ne hai solo 8, ecco perchè hai quel punteggio e non ti parte aero

quel tipo do chipset ha un limite hw (poca memoria gestibile) che lo rende non compliant con i requisiti per supportare Aero. In parole povere...non supporta Aero
