Salve, ho un portatile Hp collegato a Internet tramite modem/router ADSL Atlantis Land Webshare 141 non wireless.
In questi giorni sto testando la distro live di Ubuntu 8.04 ma non riesco a far funzionare la connessione a Internet.
Eppure il router ha il DHCP abilitato...
Potete gentilmente aiutarmi nei settaggi di rete di Ubuntu? Grazie!:muro:

é strano, perché se il router ha il dhcp abilitato, allora dovrebbe funzionare tutto al primo colpo.

Controlla in

system --> adminstration --> network


che la rete sia configurata in "roaming mode"

Ti faccio un copia/incolla del risultato:

ubuntu@ubuntu:~$ dmesg | grep eth

Inoltre per rispondere a Lutra volevo dire che la rete è configurata in "roaming mode".

che dice se provi a mano:

dhclient eth0
o
dhcpcd eth0

Intendi che devo dare da terminale uno dei due comandi che mi hai indicato?

Scusa ma io sono alle primissime armi...

P.S.: Comunque la scheda è la seguente: Realtek RTL8101E Family PCI-E Fast Ethernet NIC (NDIS 6.0)
