VIA ha ufficialmente annunciato, con la seguente press release, il debutto di due nuove schede madri per processori Intel Pentium 4 basate sul nuovo chipset VIA P4X266A, modelli VIA P4XB-RA e P4XB-SA. Questa piattaforma è un'evoluzione del modello P4X266, dotata di un memory controller più performante e del supporto ufficiale alla nuova interfaccia ATA-133 per gli hard disk e le periferiche EIDE.
