server wireless con limitazione banda per gli utenti

allora ragazzi mi trovo in questa situazione, devo montare un serverino che deve dare accesso a X utenti connessi tutti tramite wireless. Oltre a questo con il programma netlimiter, dovrei limitare la banda di upload and download per tutti.

L'hardware che ho sotto mano é
1 pc vecchiotto (il server mi servirebbe solo per limitare la banda agli utenti)
1 linksys router wireless
2 espanditori di segnale wireless

ora mi chiedevo come fare, o se ho bisogno di altro hardware.

Quello che vorrei fare é

router principale --------> Serverino -----> router wireless

quindi mi servirebbero giá due schede di rete.... il vero problema é che poi non so come limitare la banda a tutti i pc che si connettono al wireless...
Il linksys router non é configurabile come access point quindi suppongo che lo devo cambiare con uno che fa da access point giusto? e far dare l´ip in dhcp automatico a coloro che si connettono alla rete e poi con netlimiter, mettere i settaggi...

giusto cosi o mi sono perso qualcosa?

Your network layout is feasible and would have made any sense some years ago, but nowdays, you only need a Wireless router capable of doing all of that mess.

As for :poi non so come limitare la banda a tutti i pc che si connettono al wireless... You would use netlimiter, but I would not!

As for: router non é configurabile come access point….You will need either a capable router, or a separate AP unit, if you want to utilize the repeaters.

By the way, who is going to utilize this network, the Pope?

the problem is that i live in a compless of 20-30 appartments. The problem is that everybody is connected to the router via wireless, in this way there are people with pc full of spyware, maleware, or just using shoutcast radio and skype. The problem is that in this way a lot people can't navigate or download things because the bandwith is used just from some users. My idea is to garantize X upload and X donwload for each user connected. I think that this is better for every one, as to have a private connection where you can use it as you want without give noise to the other tennents

Surfing on the web i saw other program to limit the bandwith, netlimiter is the one that i know and i'm using on my pc. this is the only reason why i was thinking to use it. Of course i will check the features of the other to compare.

the only problem is that i'm 2750 km far away from the pope, i'm living in amsterdam :D
