ho difficoltà a connettermi
con kppp eseguendo query modem risulta:
ATI:SmartLink Soft Modem
ATI 1:Modem, 2.9.9e-pre1 Smart Link Ltd.
ATI 2:Modem, 2.9.9e-pre1 Smart Link Ltd.
ATI 3:modem:1 alsa modem driver
ATI 4:s00=000 s01=000 s02=043 s03=013 s04=010 s05=008 s06=002 s07=060 s08=002 s09=006 s10=007 s11=100 s12=050 s13=000 s14=001 s15=001 s16=001 s17=000 s18=000 s19=000 s20=000 s21=000 s22=000 s23=000
ATI 5:Stored Profile 0:
ATI 6:Stored Profile 1:
ATI 7:Stored Profile 1:
seleziono : device ttysl0
ma poco dopo che prova a connettersi mi si chiude la schermata ...
allora provo con wdial
fabio@matrix:~$ sudo cat /etc/wvdial.conf
[Dialer Defaults]
Init1 = ATZ
Init2 = ATQ0 V1 E1 S0=0 &C1 &D2 +FCLASS=0
Modem Type = Analog Modem

ISDN = 0
; Password = <telecom>
New PPPD = yes
; Username = <telecom>
Modem = /dev/ttySL0
Baud = 460800
fabio@matrix:~$
l'ho configurato sostituendo user, password e il phone number
nella guida consigliava di digitare sudo wdial &, ma a quanto pare ...
fabio@matrix:~$ nohup sudo wdial &
[1] 10681
fabio@matrix:~$ nohup: appending output to `nohup.out'
[1]+ Exit 1 nohup sudo wdial
fabio@matrix:~$ sudo wdial
sudo: wdial: command not found
fabio@matrix:~$ wdial
bash: wdial: command not found
fabio@matrix:~$
...
eppure i drivers del modem sono installati:
fabio@matrix:~$ sudo wvdialconf /etc/wvdial.conf
[sudo] password for fabio:
