[ubuntu] connessione wireless

Salve. Ho un powerbook 12" con su installato mac os x e ubuntu. Ora il mio problema e' questo: su ubuntu posso andare su interent solo attaccandomi con il cavo ethernet al router che ho installato a casa mentre con il wireless non mi si connette. Ho un router netgear DG834G. Il wireless funziona perfettamente su mac ma su linux non mi riesce settarlo... qualcuno mi puo' aiutare? thnx:help:

io ho un asus e per usare il wireless ho dovuto attivare dei moduli "restricted".
Per avere un'idea se sono attivi vai in System --> Restricted driver manager.

no, ho provato e mi dice che nn ho nessun restricted driver sul computer... nessun altro che abbia avuto il mio stess problema?

la wlan viene riconosciuta da ubuntu? da terminale prova dare ifconfig e posta il risultato

Come vedi io ho ETH0 che è la LAN e ETH1 che è invece la rete wireless. X procedere bisogna capire che scheda wireless monta il tuo portatile e da li cercare info sui driver da installare.

ok ho smanettato un po' e sono arrivato ad un certo punto... allora ho visto che la scheda wireless e' la apple extreme e girando sulla rete ho trovato questo tutorial:

ora ho fatto tutto. l'unica cosa e' che quando arrivo all'ultimo comando da terminal per il firmware mi da un errore... come posso risolverlo? grazie per l'aiuto!

se dici che ti dà errore, ma non specifichi quale e come dire niente...
