Voglio preparare un dvd con tutte le canzoni che "non possono mancare", il genere non mi importa meglio se più vario possibile. Ma dato che i gusti variano, mi servirebbe anche la spiegazione, tante canzoni le conosco ma tante altre no e dato che non compro mai niente a scatola chiusa mi servirebbe anche la vostra opinione.

MA ce ne sono parecchie, io comincerei nel dire "Stairway to heaven" dei Led Zeppelin, "Woman no cry" di Bob Marley, Let i be o Yesterday dei Beatles, "Smoke on the water" dei Deep Purple, "i can't get no" dei Rolling Stones, "Voodo child" di Jimi Hendrix, Sunday Bloody Sunday degli U2, insomma la lista potrebbe continuare all'infinito.

Mi sembra che abbia detto le canzoni che hanno fatto storia non le canzoni preferite. Cioè quelle che effettivamente hanno segnato una svolta nel panorama musicale o che hanno raccolto enormemente i favori del pubblico. Quelle da te citate sono altamente discutibili da questo punto di vista.

Comunque una spiegazione potrei abbozzarla:

Stairway to heaven: Brano dei Led Zeppelin datato fine anni 70 , quindi all'apice del loro successo, una delle ballate più belle mai concepite che a mio avviso contiene uno degli assoli di chitarra più belli di sempre.

Let it be: Beatles, universalmente riconosciuta come una delle canzoni più riuscite dei 4 di Liverpool assieme a Yesterday.

Sunday bloody sunday: Brano U2 con sfondo politico che rispecchia gli orrori della guerra civile nell'irlanda del nord e che si rifà al massacro da parte dei paracadutisti inglesi nei confronti di un gruppo di manifestanti nella cittadina di Derry. Personalmente preferisco la versione dal vivo, più incazzata.

Wish you were here: Dei Pink Floyd inserirei quasi tutta la discografia ma se dovessi scegliere una loro canzone storica direi questa per il semplice fatto che contiene una dedica struggente all'ex leader dei PF Syd Barret che abbandonò il gruppo per disturbi mentali. Anche se poi forse la loro canzone più conosciuta e di maggior successo resta Another brick in the wall.

Per asesso mi fermo qua, magari poi continuo

Ti do ragione, ma musicalmente il capolavoro da inserire è Echoes, dall'album Meddle. Anche Shine on you crazy Diamond, naturalmente

-Una canzone a caso di Bob Marley (sono tutte belle) perchè semplicemente è nella storia della musica

-"Bohemian Rapsody" dei Queen;) ;) "Don't stop me now" "another one bits the dust, nn si scrive così ma avete capito" (come fai a non metterci i queen)

-ACDC "born to be wild" "highway to hell"
-Bee Gees "Stayin Alive" (è storica)
-Guns and Roses "Welcome to the jungle" (FANTASTICA!)
-Nirvana "Come as you are" "Smells like teen spirit" "Rape me" "Lithium" (sono i maggiori esponenti del Grunge)

-Ligabue "Urlando contro il celo" "Leggero" "Una vita da mediano" "Questa è la mia vita" "Marlon Brando è sempre lui"...Vasco rossi " va bene una qualsiasi canzone, scegli tu, ma ricorda che non deve mancare! (Sono artisti italiani contemporanei molto apprezzati)

-U2 "Whith or without you" "sunday bloody sunday" (molto belle e cariche di significato)

-Pink Floyd "the wall" "Wish you were here" (MITI)
