Ram 4 GB ma Vista me ne vede solo 3

ciao a tutti
avrei bisogno di un aiutino :help: per risolvere questo problema: ho un pc composto da: OS Windows Vista Home Premium,
motherboard ASUS P5B, cpu E6700, e 4 GB di Ram a 800 Mhz in 2 banchi da 2 giga

di hardware non ne capisco quasi niente... secondo voi esperti :Prrr: :O come mai non viene visto il 4° GB della ram? coem posso risolvere?

non puoi risolvere semplicemente perchè con molta probabilità (anzi, sicuramente) il tuo Vista è a 32 bit e quindi non ti vede tutta la ram :)

per usufruire dei 4gb devi installare un sistema operativo a 64 bit

c'è scritto anche sulla ASUS p5kc ma parla di XP 32 Bit e non di vista

con vista è la stessa cosa, sono i 32bit che fregano :)

e raccomandano di usare l'ultimo sistema operativo disponibile

non vede il quarto giga di ram perchè il tuo vista è a 32bit, per il quarto giga mi sa che se non hai un OS a 64bit non riesci a usarlo.

ho detto che non ne capisco molto ma non sono sprovveduto fino a questo punto...:Prrr:
so che per gestire i 4 GB serve un OS a 64 bit ed ovviamente il mio vista è a 64 bit ... forse lo avrei dovuto scrivere nel primo posto... ma lo avevo dato per scontato ;)

I have install total 4GB memory on my motherboard. However, it can only recognize around 3.1GB or less. My friend's SLI board even less than 3GB. What's up? How should I do to recognize 4GB totally?

If you installed total 4GB memory, the system will detect less than 4GB of total memory because of address space allocation for other critical functions, such as:

- System BIOS (including motherboard, add-on cards, etc..)
- Motherboards resources
- Memory mapped I/O
- configuration for AGP/PCI-Ex/PCI
- Other memory allocations for PCI devices

Different onboard devices and different add-on cards (devices) will result of different total memory size.
e.g. more PCI cards installed will require more memory resources, resulting of less memory free for other uses.
