INSTALLAZIONE STAMPANTE

Salve ho problemi con l'installazione di una officejet pro1150c: quando collego il cavo al pc la stampante è rilevata, la seleziono come predefinita ma nel momento in cui premo stampa mi risulta "impossibile stampare..." o in alcuni casi stampa ma vi sono caratteri come cuori,triangoli ecc....

Premetto che per collegarmi ad interent uso un router ma vi è connesso solo un pc, non so se è rilevante ma ve l'ho detto comunque...

Che sistema operativo? Che driver? Che interfaccia (cavo)?

Il sistema operativo è xp professional service pack 2, è collegata direttamente ad un portatile con una parallela, identificata come lpt1 e driver sono quelli proprio della stampante dato che me l'ha rilevata al momento del collegamento..

Prova a reinstallare i driver.

A PC spento collega la stampante al pc col cavo e collega l'alimentazione alla corrente;
Sempre a PC SPENTO accendi la stampante e solo dopo accendi il PC;
Quando si apre la finestra "trovato nuovo hardware" clicca su NON installare i driver e chiudila, inserisci il cd dei driver e avvia la procedura.

Potresti anche provare a scaricare i driver dal sito HP e a controllare l'impostazione della porta parallela nel BIOS, mettendola se possibile su ECP.

Beh, allora vai con quelli del CD: per la porta è sufficiente entrare nel BIOS (canc o F2 all'avvio del PC, di solito), trovare la sezione delle periferiche integrate e verificare il settaggio della parallela. Puoi anche controllare nei driver se è attivita la comunicazione bidirezionale e lo spooler di stampa. Comunque, per prima cosa io reinstallerei i driver.

Introduction
Windows XP already contains drivers provided by HP for the HP all-in-one models listed below.
All of the printing and scanning drivers required to print and scan were included with Windows XP. No additional software is required or available for download or ordering. Windows XP also contains much of the functionality that was previously supplied by the HP software. HP will not be releasing any additional Windows XP software for these models.
This document provides instructions for installing the following products in Windows XP:

* HP Officejet Pro series (1150c, 1150xi, 1170c, 1170cse, 1170cxi, 1175cse, and 1175cxi)
* HP Officejet R series (R40, R40xi, R60, R45, R60, R65, R80, and R80xi)
* HP PSC 500 series (PSC 500 and PSC 500xi)


Installing the drivers built into Windows XP
NOTE: Do not install the software from the CD-ROM that came with the HP all-in-one product. This software was not designed to work with Windows XP and may cause a "Software not supported" error message when the CD-ROM is inserted into the CD-ROM-ROM drive.

Verify that the parallel port mode is set to ECP mode in the BIOS of the computer. View HP document Configuring the Parallel Port to Communicate with the All-in-One (bpu08011) or contact the computer manufacturer for assistance with this task. You may not be able to install the all-in-one or the all-in-one may be unable to communicate with the computer if the parallel port is not in ECP mode.
2. Set the port settings in Device Manager:
NOTE: Windows may not detect the all-in-one if you do not complete Steps 1 and 2.
1. Click Start, right-click My Computer, and then click Properties. This will bring up the System Properties screen.
2. Click the Hardware tab, and then click Device Manager.
3. Scroll through the devices in the Device Manager and locate the Ports section. Click the plus sign (+) beside it to open a list of available ports.
4. Double-click the parallel port entry for the port that is connected to the all-in-one. This is usually the LPT 1 port. The parallel port Properties screen should open.
5. Click the Port Settings tab.
6. Select Use any interrupt assigned to the port and Enable legacy plug and play detection. Click OK to accept the changes.
7. Close the Device Manager and then click OK to close the System Properties.
3. Turn off the computer.
4. Connect the parallel cable to the all-in-one and directly into the parallel port on the computer. Do not place any parallel port devices between the all-in-one and the computer.
5. Turn on the power and verify that the all-in-one is ready.
6. Start the computer. During the start-up process, Windows XP will detect the HP all-in-one and begin to install the drivers.

At the Add New Hardware screen, click Next and then select the correct product model. If Windows cannot find drivers for the all-in-one or cannot install the drivers successfully, read the "Windows does not detect the all-in-one or locate the correct drivers" section below.
