Problema frequenza sballata

Salve a tutti..ho uno strano problema con il pc.. la mia configurazione è:
P4 2400mhz ,asus p4p800, 1GB RAM PC3200, ati sapphire x1650pro AGP, HD 120 GB + HD 30GB

All'avvio del pc, quando tengo collegate più di 2 prese usb mi capita questa cosa:

non ho fatto nessun overclock, ma mi segna questa frequenza assurda che mi fa andare al rallentatore alcuni giochi ( tra cui PES6 e VIRTUA TENNIS 3):muro:

sono costretto a riavviare staccando almeno un componente collegato all'usb e la frequenza ritorna ok..
vi chiedo, secondo voi da cosa può dipendere? impostazioni bios, hardware danneggiato, o cos'altro?:confused:

non sono un esperto di BIOS, ma nella schermata in cui segna la frequenza sembra tutto ok.. :mc:

is supported by the ACPI Power Management option. You could try to disable Hyper-Threading.

i don't think which the problem is Hyper Threading...

"non credo che il problema sia l'hyper threading", "non credo" is not a fact but just an assumption without an explanation of the facts, very smart. In fact, if you can read Italian, in the Microsoft KB, you can find the following line as one of the possible causes of the frequency shifts.

"Più thread logici, ad esempio la tecnologia hyper-threading Intel"

I am not sure that HT is the problem either, but you will never know until you try. And, "credo" is not an option in the very complex computer technology!

come già detto a me sembra strettamente legato alle prese usb collegate al computer al momento dell'avvio. In questi giorni ho acceso il pc con solo 2 prese collegate e nessun problema. :confused:

frequency set to? And perhaps the RAM speed too. You may try a CMOS reset and possibly a BIOS update. Do you have all the Windows XP updates installed?

la frequenza della CPU nel BIOS è al valore normale di 2400 MHz. Avevo pensato di fare un aggiornamento del BIOS come mi hai consigliato tu..lo faccio appena mi arriva il gruppo di continuità, non vorrei che un abbassamento di corrente mi sfondasse tutto.. :D
una guida su come aggiornarlo è presente all'interno del forum,vero? Ho una ASUS P4P800.

grazie dei consigli comunque, appena aggiorno ti faccio sapere.

Piccola curiosità: sei italiano e parli inglese o sei americano e conosci bene l'italiano? :D

you should take a second look at what seems to be the problem, USB devices.

What particular USB devices or any USB devices?

Connected to a particular USB port or any USB port?

Are these USB devices self-powered or powered by the USB ports?
If self-powered, you should try a USB powered Hub.

Are the USB devices drivers updated and correctly installed?

You could try to uninstall and reinstall the USB Controllers drivers.

As for the BIOS update, you should follow the motherboard instructions or a guide such as this one.

Provato a disinstallare e reinstallare i driver usb ma niente. :(

Per quanto riguarda le periferiche usb collegate ho un modem usb, un hub usb(a cui non tengo collegato niente quando si presenta il problema) , un adattatore per joystick e una stampante (alimentata a parte).

Il problema capita sempre quando ho tutte e 4 le prese usb occupate, mentre quando ne ho 3 occupate capita a volte si a volte no..

Da quanto ho potuto capire mi sembra che non sia una presa in particolare difettosa, nè una periferica in particolare che causi il problema.. :muro:
