New Features
This release of Catalyst™ introduces the following new features:

DirectX 10 driver support for the Radeon™ HD 2900 XT (single card and CrossFire™ configurations) for Windows Vista
Second Generation ATI Theater™ 650
DirectX 10 driver support for the Radeon™ HD 2900 XT (single card and CrossFire™ configurations) for Windows Vista
This release of Catalyst™ introduces the ATI DirectX 10 driver for the Radeon™ HD 2900 XT, for both single cards and CrossFire™ configurations. The ATI DirectX 10 driver used in combination with the Radeon™ HD 2900 XT (and an application designed to take advantage of the power of the DirectX 10 API) delivers incredible graphics effects never seen before on the PC.

Second Generation ATI Theater™ 650
This release of Catalyst™ introduces the second generation ATI Theater™ 650. This product will provide support for the new MCE 2006 requirements such as DRM support. Further, it will include features to support ATI All-In-Wonder products. It will also provide improved TV quality and Broadcast Flag support which enables full US terrestrial DTV support.

Performance Improvements
OpenGL performance is improved on the ATI Radeon™ X1950 XTX at high resolutions (1920x1200 or greater) with anti-aliasing and anisotropic filtering enabled. Doom 3 and Quake 4 improves as much as 13-18%, and Prey improves at least 15.6%. The ATI Radeon™ X1950 Pro and X1650 XT also sees improvements in Doom 3 and Quake 4 of up to 14.1% at higher resolutions with anti-aliasing and anisotropic filtering enabled.

ATI's Folding@Home
Folding@Home is a distributed computing project designed by the Stanford University. The application performs intensive simulations of protein folding. This simulation will help researchers uncover how certain diseases develop. Folding@Home uses distributed computing to simulate protein folding, the workload is broken up into small work units and distributed across hundreds of thousands of computers over the internet. You can help find the cure to many different diseases! To join Folding@Home, follow these steps:

eccomi puntuale che mi fiondo a scaricarli e installarli e...

ecco come in tutte le altre occasioni che mi si ripropone il problema delle risoluzioni wide bloccate

ed in particoalre come già detto la 1440x900 e la 1680x1050 ovviamente sotto vista 64bit

avevo trovato x la release di driver 7.4 grazie ad Ezio un fix con un file di registro che mi risolveva il problema

ma con sti driver 7.5 non sembra andare :rolleyes:

Ragazzi ho installato i nuovi catalyst ma mi danno problemi con risoluzioni oltre 1440*900 ed in generale le risoluzioni per widescreen si vedono male parecchio sfocate!! se qualcun'altro riscontra questo problema e lo ha risolto mi faccia sapere! ah cmq li ho installati per vista 32 bit, ora magari li provo per xp e vi faccio sapere!!

ragazzi ho un problema con questi driver e x1900xtx, in pratica quando ad esempio riduco ad icona una finestra in quell'attimo se provo a muovere il mouse è bloccato ma appena finisce l'operazione, ridurre ad icona la finestra, torna tutto apposto (parliamo nell'ordine di frazioni di secondo sempre)

La 9700 pro è AGP 8X e a quanto ne so nessuna scheda uscita dopo era AGP 4X.
Al massimo erano 8X e come tali garantivano la retrocompatibilità all'AGP 2X e 4X.
Forse nel tuo caso la mobo aveva lo slot AGP 4X e quindi la scheda ti veniva riconosciuta con questa interfaccia.

Vi rendo partecipi delle mie peripezie....fino ad ora ho usato i 7.0 su vista business, con risoluzione 1440x900 con profondità 32 bit, ed andava decentemente non contando certi giochi, oggi decido di formattare causa nuovo acquisto dell'hd e metto i 7.5 (quindi installazione super pulita). Come prima cosa succede che areo non funziona più, la risoluzione mi fa impostare la 1440 ma solo a 16bit, riesco ad usare a 32 bit solo la 1350 (ora non mi ricordo precisametne)...cmq ho disinstallato, messo i 7.4 e ora funziona tutto bene...mi sento di consigliare per chi ha un pc simile al mio (vedi sign) i 7.4!!!

Problema risolto tornando ai 7.4, qualcuno sa se uscirà un qualche fix per il problema della risoluzione 1440x900 a 60hz?

ragazzi sono tornato ai 7.4 per via di TDU, i 7.5 mi toglievano un bion 5%, tra l'altro coi 7.4 l'apertura del CCC è decisamente più veloce... anche la demo di Dirt gira decisamente meglio con i 7.4, gioco deecentemente (25-30fps con cali a 20) a 1400x1050 dettagli medi ombre basse, ad eccezione del livello buggy sempre ingiocabile...

Salve ragazzi, io ho un piccolo problema. Ho installato il driver, ma quando avvio il pc mi esce "impossibile caricare il file o l'assembly 'CLI implementation, version 2.0.2693. ecc...' mi sapete dire cosa non funziona.
Io penso sia dovuto al .net framework, solo che non trovo una versione piu aggiornata.
Sapete dirmi dove trovarla, oppure se il problema è un altro cosa devo fare ?

Purtroppo i catalyst 7.5 non supportano la risoluzione wide 1440x900 a 60hz..fin quando non esce un fix mi sa che dovremmo tenere i 7.4 :(

io i problemi con le risoluzioni wide li ho avuti anche sui 7.4 ma li ho risolti con un fix che me le faceva riapparire rendendomele nuovamente disponibili (ovviamente parlo di driver x vista)

i driver 7.4 basta che vai sul sito ati fino alla pagina dove ti fa vedere gli ultimi driver disponibili, quindi in basso alla pagina sotto la sezione additional links c'è ne uno che si chiama "Previous Drivers and Software", li c'è l'archivio dei driver!!

per il wide con i 7.4 nn ci sono problemi, perlomeno a me funziona, con i 7.5 devi mettere la frequenza del monitor a 75 Hz!!

dna sono dei driver moddati, ad alcuni dicono vanno meglio, a me nessuna differenza con i catalyst normali! Questi driver installano pure il vecchio pannello ati e l'ati tray tool

per far funzionare il nuovo pannelo ati hai bisogno di installare il framework .net (vedi nel sito ati che c'è il link alla microsoft)

Il problema si presenta esclusivamente quando metto il refresh del monitor a 75hz.

Come driver a questo punto metto i catalyst 7.4, tanto a 60 hz non mi da problemi...

solo che prima di formattare tutto avevo i 6.8 e se non mi sbaglio a 65hz reggeva tutto...

Come al solito cambierà poco, sono sati corretti i soliti errori sempre presenti come si evince dal read me allegato. Comunque non li ho ancora provati al momento poichè sto ripristinando una immagine di ghost. ( Si era incartato un po il sistema)
