Nel 2009 tornerà il brand Uno ed andrà a sostituire la Palio come world car a basso costo (La Uno originale è ancora venduta leggermetne modificata in Brasile)
Fiat Uno: An old name for new low-cost car
When Fiat launches a new low-cost hatchback in 2009, it could name it after its best-selling car, the Uno, industry sources have told Automotive News Europe.
Fiat stopped making the Uno in Western Europe in 1994, when it was replaced by the first-generation Punto. A version is still being produced in Brazil.
Fiat first revealed that there would be a so-called B-compact project in November, but details have so far been sketchy. “A low-cost car to replace our Palio [world car project] is on the table,” Fiat group CEO Sergio Marchionne said at the Geneva auto show.
The company has sold 9 million Unos since the car’s introduction in 1983.
