Se hanno fatto girare sopra l'editor di Crysis.....

At the very recent GDC ’07, Crytek demonstrated, for the first time publicly, their Sandbox 2 application for editing and creating levels in their upcoming game Crysis. The project that's being used for the demonstration is called "dx10.cry." If you ask me, that alludes to the project being worked on in a DX10 environment. Which OS supports DX10? Windows Vista. Which OS does NOT support DX10? Windows XP... or does it?

Why is this demo being publicly presented in a Windows XP Pro 64-bit environment? The header of the application says "dx10.cry - Sandbox 2 (tm) (x64 Edition)" and we can clearly see at the beginning of the first video that the OS is XP due to the Luna theme. Naturally, the logical explanation is that this is simply a DX10 developmental environment in XP.

Why? Well, to think that Crytek - or any other company leveraging DX10 over the past year or two, for that matter - has had to develop ALL of their DX10 technology on Vista betas is an atrocious and unrealistic thought. So... it seems worth it to me to risk getting a little egg on my face to fire up yet another debate regarding this simple question: DX10 for Windows XP?
