Recentemente ho comprato un modem wifi usrobotics 9111 con chiavetta usb 5423 e con windows xp funziona alla grande dato che ho una alice flat, ma con suse 10.2 non sono riuscito a configurarla ho trovato su il sito di www.suseitalia.org che è simile a una chiavetta usb zd1211 e basta copiare il firmware zd1211-firmware1.3.tar.bz2 dopo averlo decompresso con tar xjvf nella cartella lib/firmware/zd1211 però... arriva il bello riavvi il computer e dicono che dovrebbe funzionare ho provato a dare il comando iwconfig da root però compaiono queste voci

In pratica non mi vede la chiavetta...c' è qualcuno che sa cosa bisogna modificare...grazie per la collaborazione:muro:

Ho più volte tentato di configurare la chiavetta us robotics 5423 con il file zd1211 sia con i drivers vecchi sia con quelli nuovi senza riuscire. Ho utilizzato ndiswrapper e ha funzionato

Ho installato ndiswrapper-1.38.tgz l' ho decompresso sono andato nella directory ndiswrapper-1.38 e ho dato i comandi da root make e make install poi ho preso il cd della usrobotics e l'ho copiato sul desktop dentro alla cartella software >Driver c'era il file USRWGU.inf ho aperto il terminale e da root ho digitato ndiswrapper -i USRWGU.inf e me l' ha installato ho controllato con ndiswrapper -l e é uscito driver 0baf:0121 installed poi ho dato ndiswrapper -m e mi ha aggiunto il driver a etc/modprobe.d poi ho dato modprobe ndiswrapper e é comparsa l' icona della rete senza fili nella barra delle applicazioni .
Ho dato ifconfig wlan0 essid USR9111 da root ho provato con ifup wlan0 e mi è apparso un messaggio che dovevo avviare la connessione da knetworkmanager ho cliccato sull' icona e mi ha chiesto la chiave WPA-PSK e poi ho fatto connetti e adesso navigo, navigo e ancora navigo
