Domanda forse un po` banale: come tiro fuori i linux-headers-2.6.20?
Ne ho bisogno per installare i driver nvidia....
Ho appena compilato il kernel 2.6.20 scaricandolo dal sito kernel.org, ma non vi trovo l'headers e non so come tirarlo fuori.
Mi aiutate?

Se hai compilato manualmente il kernel, tutti i link corretti vengono creati all'atto del make modules_install e i driver nvidia dovrebbero vederli e risalire agli header. Ovviamente non devi cancellare i sorgenti che hai compilato, in quanto i symlink fanno riferimento ad essi.

Praticamente non mi si installano i driver...

Probabilmente devi aspettare che nvidia sistemi il problema in via definitiva. Nel frattempo, se ricompili il kernel disabilitando il supporto per la paravirtualizzazione, dovresti poter installare i driver.

Allora ho installato un kernel precompilato, il 2.6.18 dai miei repository e ci sono riuscito!

per me devi aspettare i nuovi driver nvidia. capita anche a me cn frgalware, quando aggiorno il kernel i driver nvidia nn stanno al passo e mi tocca aspettare! Intanto o riuso il vecchio kernel o uso i driver open (nv)
