cancellare cartella su server imap (su linux)

da un client win xp con software thunderbird sono state create delle cartelle su server imap (hostato su un server su rete locale LINUX).

al momento di cercare di rimuoverle abbiamo un'errore del genere...

" il comando corrente non è andato a buon fine. Il server di posta ha risposto: RENAME failed: Can't create mialbox node/home/emiliana/trash/:File exists|."


cosa puo' essere?

Cercando un po' in rete ho trovato questa possibile soluzione...

"Certain servers may prevent you from renaming or deleting subscribed mail folders if you have specified that deleted messages should be automatically moved to the Trash folder. If you try to delete a mail folder and then see an error message that the command failed, you should choose Subscribe from the File menu, and then unsubscribe your Trash folder and leave it unsubscribed."
