Hi bavfay,

your FTP procedure is correct but before <put> command use <bin> command as binary.
In alternative to FTP, you can use web interface of router to upgrade firmware. You find command in the maintenance section.

Hi bavfay,

your firmware version is very old and probably you cannot directly jump to version PE10. Try again the FTP procedure as below (remember the bin command):

FTP File Upload Command from the DOS Prompt

1. Launch FTP <IP router>
2. press ENTER when prompted for a username
3. enter your password as requested (the default is "1234")
4. enter "bin" to set transfer mode to binary
5. use "put filename.bin ras" to transfer the firmware
6. enter "quit" to exit FTP prompt.

Is the router supplied from your ISP? The firmware may be an owner version of your ISP.

Another suggest for you. Try to upgrade firmware starting from 1st version available and then upgrade in sequence. You can find all firmware here (ftp://ftp.zyxel.com/P-660HW-61/firmware). 1st release of firmware is P-660HW-61_3.40(PE.0)C0.

Finally I found. Your Zyxel has a special edition of firmware supplied from Telefonica ISP. You can upgrade Zyxel 660HW to standard firmware if you use the console cable. You can find all procedure here (http://www.adslayuda.com/Zyxel650-14.html). Good luck.

Sorry, no other way. The console cable is the last chance or ship the 660HW in an hardware repair laboratory.
