View Full Version : Suono in linux, non lo sento più
cambiando slot pci alla scheda audio mi sono ritrovato che non ho più il suono in linux
per la precisone suona sul /dev/dsp
esempio pratico: apro un film in mplayer...non sento il suono dalle casse
eseguo un cat /dev/dsp....do invio, e sento il suono (molto brutto e gracchiante)
i moduli caricati all'avvio sono quelli giusti, ed i canali dell'alsa mixer li ho già smutati tutti

PS: ovviamente la scheda audio funzionava alla perfezione prima del cambio slot
hai già provato a dargli come root
alsaconf e riconfigurare la periferica e poi con alsamixer alzare i volumi (digita il tsto M sui cursori contraddistinti con mm) ??
a dire il vero stavo cercando l'alsaconf in questo momento
ma anche un sudo find / -name alsaconf non mi trova nulla
eppure alsa-base e alsa-utils sono già installati
ah per precisione, la distribuzione in questione è una ubuntu
comunque ho già capito che questo è successo in seguito ad uno spegnimento brutale piuttosto che dal cambio dello slot
il forced check dell'hard disk ha rilevato qualche problema nella master partition...forse è saltato qualcosa :stordita:
in effetti l'orologio segna le 00:30 ... :doh:
eppure alsa-base e alsa-utils sono già installati
ah .. :doh:
mmm... mmm ... butta via i files di configurazione reinstalla alsa base e alsa utils con l'opzioen "reinstalla da zero" (cioè butti via i pacchetti installati prima di installarci sopra i nuovi)
spegni e riavvii (lo so non dovrebbe servire... )
alsaconf
alsamixer come ho già detto
vedi che il server sonoro predefinito sia l'alsa e restartalo eventualmente.
di più non saprei, UN ESORCISMO o un reinstallone.
a parte che ero in chat della community di ubuntu e mi è stato detto che alsaconf è stato eliminato da tempo e non è stato sostituito con nulla
come faccio a controllare che il server ALSA sia il server predefinito?
per l'esorcismo...se proprio insiste a non andare :D
EDIT: non posso fare la rimozione completa di alsa perchè mi cancella anche ubuntu-base e ubuntu-minimal....il che sarebbe alquanto grave per il sistema

la situazione non è cambiata, suono zero dalle casse se non do un cat /dev/dsp (che comunque fa sentire da schifo)
EDIT: ho fatto un controllo
/etc/init.d/alsa-utils (script di avvio del server alsa) si avvia correttamente
la scheda ed alsa figurano perfettamente installati e funzionanti, ma l'output lo posso sentire solo sul dev/dsp
ma alsa non dovrebbe usare /dev/snd/*?

dopo difficili peripezie mi è stato consigliato di controllare i canali del mixer, e non solo abilitare il master ed il PCM, ma anche controllare che non ci fossero altri canali a disturbare l'output diretto
ed ecco per magia saltar fuori il canale Exchange DAC...che ancora non ho capito cosa serva, perchè mi è stata appena data la pagina del manuale per il driver alsa della mia scheda audio...ma che comunque,da abilitato, non mi faceva sentire alcun suono
PS: per chi stesse cercando l'alsaconf...è stato proprio eliminato dalla community perchè obsoleto, lo script di start del server alsa (alsa-utils) è tutto ciò che serve per far funzionare l'audio, con ovviamente i moduli caricati
ringrazio in particolare i ragazzi di #debian-it (in effetti nel mio caso mi hanno saputo consigliare più dei ragazzi ubuntu ) per avermi aiutato nell'impresa...sperando che qualche utente di hwupgrade non me ne voglia male, ma la citazione è doverosa :D
