Ciao!
Ieri ho acceso il computer e mi sono trovato davanti un bell'errore di gdm e non riesco a farlo partire.
Adesso per entrare in gnome do startx da console (dopo essermi loggato naturalmente), come faccio a ripristinare GDM? (da console o da gnome, fa istess)

ah no un attimo, non grub ma GDM (Gnome Display Manager) :D

Ma se riesci a loggarti perché non provi a reinstallare gdm da linea di comando?


If you somehow damage an installed package, or simply want the files of a package to be reinstalled with the newest version that is available, you can use the --reinstall option like so:

# apt-get --reinstall install gdm
Reading Package Lists... Done
Building Dependency Tree... Done
0 packages upgraded, 0 newly installed, 1 reinstalled, 0 to remove and 1 not upgraded.
Need to get 0B/182kB of archives. After unpacking 0B will be used.
