Un amico musicista mi ha segnalato questa distribuzione e io la segnalo a voi. Si tratta di una live installabile (basata su Knoppix) votata alla musica. Non l'ho ancora testata, ma promette bene. Se qualcuno avesse modo di provarla, ce ne parli. Su alcuni forum dedicati alla produzione musicale, se ne dice molto bene.

What is Musix GNU+Linux 0.59?
It is a 100% free operating system intended for musicians, DJs, and all kind of users. It contains an enormous collection of free programs.
How does it works?
The system will boot from your CD/DVD drive, with no need to install anything on your hard disk. Later, it can be installed.
Supported languages:
Spanish, Galician, Catalan, Basque, English (docs), Portuguese(docs) and French (docs). These two last ones were supported from version 0.30. Now we support German and Italian too, but the user could install almost any language

This project was concieved to provide free software tools primarily for Musicians and Audio operators using compatible i386 computer equipment.
You can:
* Master for CD
* Publish musical scores
* Print musical scores
* Create MIDI Instruments
* Record and reproduce Audio and MIDI
* Edit and mix Audio and MIDI tracks with Multitrack Sequencers/Editors
* Perform noise-reduction to recover recordings
* Use effects in real time with any device (microphone, line, etc.)
* Connect a keyboard or another MIDI device and control the available software synthesizers
