Gainward seems to have decided to break all possible records in terms of the "official" graphics cards overclocking. Yesterday the company announced one more product from the Golden Sample family. It is Gainward GeForce2 pro/500 XP "Golden Sample" graphics card.
The solution is equipped with 64MB DDR SDRAM featuring 4ns access time, 2 Video-Ins and 2 Video-Outs. In the Enhanced mode, when the memory clock makes 500MHz the card runs 25% faster than the regular GeForce2 pro based solution. In fact, this graphics card may turn out even faster in TrueColor mode, for instance, than the already discontinued GeForce2 Ultra.
Gainward GeForce2 pro/500 XP "Golden Sample" will be selling for $220 and should appear in retail end this month.
Gainward ha annunciato la prossima disponibilità della più veloce scheda video GeForce 2 PRO, basata su memorie DDR a 500 Mhz. Il nuovo modello, chiamato Gainward GeForce2 pro/500 XP "Golden Sample", è dotato di 64 Mbytes di memoria DDR SDRAM con chip da 4ns, operante alla frequenza di 250 Mhz (500 Mhz effettivi); oltre a questo, sono presenti due diversi connettori video in e due video out, per garantire funzionalità di editing video.<br><br>
Grazie alla frequenza di lavoro della memoria di ben 500 Mhz, abbinata alla frequenza di 200 Mhz per il chip video, questa scheda dovrebbe sulla carta risultare più veloce delle schede video GeForce 2 Ultra, dotate di chip video a 250 Mhz di clock ma di memoria video di "soli" 460 Mhz di clock; sorpattutto alle risoluzioni più elevate e con profondità colore di 32bit le prestazioni della scheda Gainward dovrebbero risultare più elevate.
