Via ha annunciato, con la seguente press release, la prossima commercializzazione del chipset VIA Apollo P4X266, per sistemi Pentium IV e memoria DDR-SDRAM. Via ha annunciato di non avere nessuna causa pendente con Intel in merito alla licenza di utilizzo del bus Pentium IV.<BR>
E' prevedibile, dopo questo annuncio, che nelle prossime settimane diversi produttori di schede madri taiwanesi inizieranno la commercializzazione di schede madri basate sul chipset VIA Apollo P4X266.
