PROBLEMI CON L'ENHANCED

Allora, un paio di giorni ho fatto un salto nella mia pagina delle impostazioni personali per modificare qualche parametro del Seti, impostanto per esempio che il tempo di inattività del pc dopo il quale boinc doveva cominciare ad elaborare le wu fosse di 0,10 secondi, e altre cosucce di scarso rilievo.
Dopo aver salvato le impostazioni e cliccato su update del boinc per aggiornare il mio progetto, l'ho rimesso a scaccolare.
Risultato: sono 2 giorni che non scaccola un bel niente:

Insomma fa questo bel giretto e poi ricomincia da capo, senza elaborare niente. Nella scheda "work" del boinc, colonna "status", esce scritto "activities suspended" e buonanotte... che fare?

per dovere di cronaca, dopo aver risposto a GHz, sono andato nelle preferenze di Seti e ho spostato il valore da 0,10 min a 1 min.

Ora, la situazione è questa:

Nella sezione status, activities suspended... come se IO le avessi sospese! Non c'è un modo per farle "riprendere"?

Al massimo mi è venuto in mente di provare "reset project", così magari mi pulisce le wu scaricate e ricomincia da zero. I crediti non vengono annullati, no?

Ho provato a mettere anche io a 0.1 e funziona. Anche mettendolo con la virgola (i dati vanno messi con il punto vi ricordo!).

Da questi messaggi che hai postato, non si può vedere il motivo percui BOINC non scaccola....riavvia BOINC e postaci il log completo.

No non resettare, se si ferma un motivo c'è, e si fermerebbe anche dopo.
Controlla, cliccando con il destro sull'icona di BOINCmanager nel systray che non sia spuntata la voce "SNOOZE" perchè serve per fermare tutto. Nel caso togli la spunta e vedi se riparte. Altrimenti postaci il log come detto sopra e vediamo.

Ho risolto. In pratica: dopo aver impostato come valore 1 minuto e fatto l'update, ho provato a fare "run always", e scaccolava tranquillamente. Dopo di che ho rimesso "run based on preferences" e tutto sembra essere tornato come prima (ora la wu è al 7,15%), con una unica differenza, che i messaggi non sembrano per niente rassicuranti:

Boh... non vorrei che una volta elaborata la wu, non riesca ad inviare i risultati... sarebbe tutta fatica sprecata (per fortuna che i pc non vanno a pedali! :D)

Io ti consiglierei di lasciare l'elaborazione SEMPRE attiva, poi vedi te, cmq direi di si che puoi andare tranquillo...

Infatti, come ogni notte l'ho lasciato acceso a scaccolare ed è ritornato tutto normale, ha scaricato anche la seconda wu pronta per lo scaccolo appena termina la prima. Però prima di dare il cessato allarme voglio vedere se ha problemi nel comunicare i risultati... Grazie

Effettivamente, avevo completamente dimenticato che alla berkeley hanno i down programmati dei server. Solo una curiosità: ma se i risultati sono in fase di upload (ho ben 3 wu in up!) e chiudo il boinc, i risultati non vanno persi, no?

Peccato che il down programmato sia alla sera del martedi o mercoledi non certo del lunedi. Quindi questo down NON rientra certo nei down programmati
