problemi di accensione

quando accendo il computer nella schermata inziale(quella nera) mi appaiono questi messaggi (in inglese):
cmos settings wrong,cmos memory size wrong
poi mi da due opzioni,F1,e F2.premendo F2 si installa perfettamente Windows XP,ma l`orologio sta indietro di 4 anni,e per spegnere ci vogliono,2 minuti.
Che cosa e` successo?Che cosa e` il cmos? :confused:

(Complementary Metal-Oxide Semiconductor) is the chip that stores some of the BIOS settings. In order to retain the settings when the computer is off, there is a battery on the motherboard. This battery, most likely, is defective and should be replaced.

ok,da come ho capito devo sostituire la batteria,ma cambiandola perdo qualche valore,memoria,o qualche altra cosa?

settings, however, you are already loosing them, that is why you need to press the F keys and reset the BIOS to its defaults.

Cambia la batteria.
Fatto questo tutto è risolto e non rischi assolutamente nulla. ;)
