Sul sito italiano DinoxPC è stata pubblicata una preview della nuova serie di schede video ATi Radeon 2; la tabella sottostante riporta le principali caratteristiche tecniche dei chip RV200 e R200, i due prodotti della famiglia Radeon 2, confrontati a quelli di chip video dell'attuale generazione:

Uno dei punti di forza di questa nuova serie di schede video è rappresentato dalla tecnologia Truforum, che permette di aumentare il realismo degli oggetti raffigurati in una scena 3D aumentandone grandemente il numero di poligoni utilizzati per disegnarli
