domanda da niubbo: Console e comandi

ciao a tutti...

ho un problemino che sicuramente sarà una cavolata....però non riesco a risolverlo..
devo installare l'aggiornamento del flash player,e per farlo,da console dovrei entrare nella directory /home/michele/install_flash_player_7_linux.tar.gz e poi lanciare il comando per l'installazione...

Il problema è che la console non mi fa entrare nella cartella /michele dice che non esiste....
io digito cd /home e va in home
poi digito cd /michele e mi dice "no such file or directory"

come si entra in questa cavolo di directory???help :help:

e vedi cosa c'è.

poi prova cd /home/michele

entri ?

Prova a scoprire l'arcano.

gli "/" sono separatori del percorso in linux.
Se hai una cartella home che contiene un'altra cartella, per accedere a quella interna, devi fare o:
cd /home/michele
o
cd /home
cd michele

Che dentro a /home c'è solo una cartella e si chiama 'michele'.

ho capito che sono già dentro la cartella dove ci sono i miei files :rolleyes: ...per installare il plugin dovrei digitare il comando./flashplayer-installer...ma questo è quello che mi viene fuori...com'è possibile??il file c'è ma lui dice che non c'è... :cry:

un altra cosa...le istruzioni dicono che è possibile installare manualmente il plugin,copiando due files nella cartella plugins di firefox....ma dove sta la cartella di firefox??non la trovo... :cry: :help:

Dunque il comando che stai x dare (cd) serve per entrare in una cartella ma install_flash_player_7_linux.tar.gz non è una cartella ma un file tar.gz. Guarda quello che ti ho evidenziato... La d indica una directory (cartella) quindi se il file in questione non ha la d vuol dire che il comando cd non ha senso x quel file... Il file tar.gz non è altro che un archivio compresso (tipo .zip in windows)... quindi scompatta il file e poi puoi dar il ./flashpalyer-installer ;)
