Possibile grave Bug di Gmail....
http://www.digg.com/security/Confirmed:_Gmail_dot_bug_sends_your_email_to_other_users_
Ho letto in particolare queste testimonianze ed ho paura.....
Well it seems to be true in my case. I have [email protected]. When I send an email to [email protected], I get the email right away. But when I send it to [email protected], I don't get anything. And sometimes, I do get email meant for [email protected] -- I wonder if he gets any of my mine
This used to be a problem with gmail's registration system in that they used to let you register duplicate names if you had the extra dot, but fixed that a very long time ago. Only a few duplicate accounts actually exist and no more can be created.
Well, while this story is bogus, I still have a dot problem. Anything sent to my email address with dots added NEVER gets to me.
My wife too. We both have very early gmail accounts (within the first month or so). Back in the early days, were different people allowed to sign up for different dot-variation names? If so, the fix would be to remove the dot functionality on those combinations to avoid having email sent to the wrong accounts. Which may be what happened with our accounts. That would suck if true, as missing this functionality is a big loss. Plus, this is dangerous as people knowledgeable about gmail would assume that sending me email with dots would get to me, and they don't.
Aiuto...
